Zoomers Exhaust Build Out!

Zoomers exhaust will be offering Cat-Back exhausts for both L99 and LS3 Camaro's. We started the build out on the L99 July 7th and have completed a prototype as of today... The system will use 2.5" 304 stainless mandrel bent tubing along with our Silver Bullet exhaust chambers, Sawed off tips and X-pipe crossover. I'll post some before and after photo's as well as some video so you can all hear how she sounds.

I want to thank TRIBONE a member here for letting us use his car for fitment. The prototype you see on the car will be used for sound testing and the final jigs so we may manufacture and duplicate a complete bolt on Cat-Back exhaust system.

At months end we'll have another members "Gotpball44" LS3 at our shop to check fitment of the 2.5" system pictured here as well as fabricating a full 3" system to be offerd on LS3' s with heavy mod's such as superchargers, headers, cams and cylinder head work...

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me direct 866-4Zoomers (866-496-6637) Ron ext.12

Stay tuned for more updates...

Just took it for the first test drive... Sounds mean, crisp and clean and has a very deep idle. Right at start up it reminds you that the stock exhaust is gone. I cruised it at all speeds and there is no buzzing drone to speak of although when the fuel managemnet kicks in there is a tone change but nothing unpleasent. I'll get some video shot and posted up...

The tips have a fuction. They are like mini mufflers which draw air through a scoop in the front of the tip which creates a vacuum that causes a scavenging effect. They also help reduce cabin noise like a resonator would in other applications. If you don't like the look you could always replace them with another style as they clamp on and are easily removed.

See above post regarding the tips... Haven't figured a price yet but similar dual exhaust systems we offer retail for about $1400.00 to $1500.00

I loved my Zoomers I had on my Charger, if these would have came out a little sooner I "might" not have Corsa's on my SS. If you have an L99 this is the way to go if you don't want to hear when your ride kicks in to 4cyl. I have to say at WOT I think my Zoomers sounded louder then my Corsa but It's very quite at idle.

Looks nice. Is there any weight loss with this exhaust? Looks like the stock mufflers and resonated H-pipe (or whatever that is) are heavy.

The outer diameter of the tips is just too small. They almost look smaller then factory or the thick inner diameter is giving it the illusion that the outer diameter is small. Either way, I think if you put a bigger outer diameter tip it will look better.

Huge weight savings I would guess 35 -40 LBS easy... I'll weigh both the stock system and ours and post the difference on Monday...

The finish on the inside of the tips will be blacked out... I switched the tips out for ones with black centers and it gives the illusion of the diameter being larger while making the resonated core dissapear...
