Here is where we are at on the SS. My wife and I decided to give it a month. Money is not an option and neither is credit score. But I am up for a promotion at work and that would make things 100% easier. Because we still have college for our son and you never know when a rainy day can arise. So for the time being I am just going to enjoy the hell out if the LS.

You'll love it to death. You'll likely get SS envy at some point (we all do.. only natural to want more) but you've still got a great car.

Fromm one LS owner to another, Welcome! I love mine and get tons of looks\compliments etc... all the time. Funny thing was wife wasn't thrilled at the idea of the Camaro at 1st (just had a baby) but I made sure a baby seat fit fine so i went ahead and got it. She then fell-in love with it too.
Trust me when I say he car only gets better after some miles on it and if and when you plan on doing any simple mods. I remember when I 1st got it and I wasn't really impressed. Now after 2 years and bunch of mods, I still have a smile when I get on it. With that being said, the wife agrees that when its time is up in a year that I trade up for "just a ZL1" !

Congrats and Welcome

Good move. It's an amazing car. This fellow buyer of the LS felt like he was stealing (at list price) from the dealership in November 2009 when he realized the thoughtful design, careful manufacturing, and extensive content Chevrolet puts into this "base" model. I am more amazed every time I think of this.

By the way, I forgot to mention that my 18x8 Enkei Tuning Raijins are up for sale at a very good price. See the classified under Wheels and Tires.

RE: Just an LS

That's what I thought when I bought my Camaro. I bought mine a little over a month ago and with my budget all I could afford was the V6. However a month into driving this beast I don't regret it at all. There's power in this V6, I love it!

I honestly prefer a 6. It's got all the accelleration I want and still gets good mileage. For me having an SS or ZL1 would be like using a bazooka to shoot a deer but that's just me. I really don't need to go 170 MPH, and it goes from 0-60 almost as fast as a Ferrari Testarossa so I'm ok with that. I really don't need more. If I'm financially able to at some point I would get a Lambo for the over the top car. I like having my LT as a permanent every day car

I love the forums. So many sexy cars to drool over and entertaining comments to read.

BTW from Northern Nevada! There are lots of Gen5 Camaros up here but they don't really meet up... I see more of the classic year vehicles meeting up here. Vegas seems to have a great Camaro club.
