Love the look - they are an excellent visual compliment to the hood.

I wonder how they would look painted the same color as the hood extractor...?

I'm sure they could be made "functional" if you were to cut up the wheel well liner. But then you'd also be throwing stuff off the tires right into/through these vents onto the side of the car.

they're mainly just for looks. the factory aerodynamics should be unchanged.

Great job. Brave to cut! May I suggest rock guards too! Protect that new paint and your gills! Small guards that don't stick out too much.
