Driving in the rain in these cars is part of the fun. And there's less worry about tire wear just because you're taking every corner sideways.

I cant stand the sound of road debris blasting the sides of it. And having to drive 45 in heavy rain because of the hydroplaning with the wide front tires. I bought a 4x4 quickly after buying my Camaro. There was no way in hell I was going to drive this car in the snow and salt so I was going to buy a 4x4 for winter anyway. But after the 1st drive in the rain I had to get a daily driver right away.

Handles better in a down pour with the PZERO's than any other car I've driven.

the wider the tires the easier its going to hydroplane. The v6 is probably fine.

I try to aviod driving my Camaro in the rain when I can. Wax/sealant doesn't matter when your car is bright white. Just the crap from kicked up from the brakes is enough to coat the car in grime, nevermind road spray....

I'm fortunate, only been caught in hard rain once...had no choice, had to pick up my son, and the wife wasn't home from work yet. I try and leave it sit if its raining. I have my truck, ane we have the wife's car. Before this winter hits, I'm rerigging the truck to accommodate another car seat.

DD so I will drive it no matter what. Seems to handle well in the rain, just waiting for winter to hit.

Driving in the rain is fine. No issues, even on 22,000 mile Pirelli's. However, washing and detailing is in the near future.

No issues with rain (just wont drive in snow/salt conditions). I usually try to wait for a good rain storm to wash away the salt and sand that the town uses. Otherwise no issues with rain...except when it drys I get so much road grim stains and spotting all over. Looks horrible.

Same here in the winter, wait for the rain to wash away the salt/sand.

We walk in the rain. We sit in grandstands to watch auto racing in the rain. We camp out in the rain (that never fails). We drive in the rain.

i usually don't purposefully drive in the rain, usually get caught in it. really does a number on the under carriage and wheels wells. avoid as much as possible. only driven it in very lite snow acouple times usually in the late/mid spring. Luckily work is only a short distance away.

Ive driven at 55 mph in heavy rain and that scared the crap out of me when I started feeling the car going to the sides of the lane, and for the debris blasting on the sides I hate that too..

I have only three rules concerning the High Performance((The White Lightning) Chevy Camaro). 1. No eating in it. 2. No smoking in it. 3. No driving it in the snow. I do drive it in the rain. Now, I know that the acid rain affects the paint. So, the remedy is wax. Other than that, I'm good. I have seen some of the damage that acid rain does to the GM paint, and you have also. I figure when that time comes, I'll just prep it and take it to the dealer or a third party body shop. They will also take off the dealer tattoo, which I told them not to place on my Camaro in the first place. But after the fact there wasn't much I could do. Drive the doors off!

Do you not watch the indie races? Do you know how wide their front AND rear tires are? Know the trick to NOT hydroplaning? Purchase tires that displace water VERY well. You won't get a lot of mileage out of them because the rubber will be a tad bit softer, but you also won't hydroplane. Yes, they are a bit costly too, but hey...you said wider tires hydroplane.

yes they do. it doesn't matter the tire. take that better tire and it will still hydroplane more easily the wider you go. we are talking street legal tires The Camaro comes with P zeros and thats what most people have on their 5th gens. put 44" mud tires on a camaro and it will go through the mud better to. The only trick to not hydroplaning is to slow down.

My DD as well. Not a big fan of driving while its raining, but love wet roads so i can kick the rear end out. Also when the rain comes down, so does the temperature. Car is always more fun to drive when its colder.
