Because 600-700 HP is fun to drive. Makes you smile really big. I'm looking at goin 700rwhp but this time I wanna go twin turbos. Supercharger is fun just time for a change

It is never enough. Better to have it and not need it...

I added 300 RWHP for less than 9K, just makes sense.

I would love a price point of $9000 a lot more than 12,000 for sure. The ls3 conversion is kicking it up a bit I think.

My car makes 651 rwhp now I drive it everyday hot cold rain or shine. I put at least 100 miles on it daily and get 26 mpg. Looking to add another 150 hp in a few more months. I should I have a very heavy foot to especially when a mustang is around.

By the end of this winter both of my cars will be over 850 wheel, my truck right at, and the Camaro well over. DD duties require 800 if you ask me

Something L99 guys should consider. 650whp is a really good place to be on those cars and can be done stock motor, stock trans. They will last a long time there without LS3 conversion, if done right with a nice, safe tune. We have done this on multiple L99 cars now with no problems for tens of thousands of miles. Here is the very simple, cost effective formula. Base AGP turbo kit with integrated meth kit upgrade for safety. And you need the A/T cooler lines from us too. Run about 10psi, done 650whp on stock L99. That's really it.
Car will perform much better with a good AGP spec'd triple disc stall and an aftermarket cat back. But you don't really have to.

I wouldn't believe that. It took me almost 35,000 miles to save up enough to purchase a SuperCharger. I've only been able to put a few thousand mile on it because of military life, but have no issues. I make just over 650rwhp, which is a ton of fun. I will say it does take a lot of effort on the street to learn how to use that power off the line. I drive it often and love it.

I put my cam in at 45000 and blower on at 58000 miles and am at 78000 miles now and drives just as good as the day I bought it with 26000 miles.

Proper maintenance, supporting mods, and care of your vehicle will make the world of difference in longevity. And don't skimp out on the tune or fuel system. These are more important then the supercharger itself.

I'm around 630rwhp and its plenty for me.

I don't wanna steal away this thread but wanna ask is it worth dropping all this cash on your car if it's not paid for yet? Do I spend 2-3k on mods I want or put it towards car payment?

This was a hard decision for me as well. I dont plan on ever selling my car so finally decided just going to jump in. I have already put LOTS of money into cosmetic mods and tooo specialized to get money back out of. My friends joke about it being 150,000 camaro. LOL. Not nearly that much LOL but you can sink a lot into them.

I would say if dont plan on keeping for any length of time not worth dropping the cash.

Good point, I also don't plan to sell my car, has a sentimental value to me, but at the same time this payments are getting annoying lol but I guess ill have to make up my mind and decide what I want. Thanks

What I did was take my tax return, paid off the remaining balance on the car loan (saving a little interest), paid for the supercharger kit and necessary installation and tuning with a credit card, transfer the balance to another card with 18 months/0 interest, and pay it down with what was my monthly car loan payment amount. 'Should be paid off (again) before next tax season. ... Then I can turn around and buy a new clutch (assuming mine lasts until then )

Sounds like a good idea but my tax return is no where near enough to pay off my car loan lol it will take at least 3-4 tax returns for me, but u did bring up a good point n use that money to lower my payments to have more money available

My car has 500RWHP...and it's NOT enough for me...it hooks up surprisingly well...which takes away from some of the fun for me as it's actually still very easy to drive (if that makes sense)...that's also why the heads/cam LS3 is coming out this winter and going in a plastic bag in favor of the built engine and a LOT of boost...and hopefully a LOT more power.

Don't get me wrong...the car is quick (enough to impress most people that aren't car people)...but while it was fun a year and a half ago...I'm bored with it now.

Wow 500 is good amount of power. I am sitting at 372 right now so 600 should keep me satisfied I would think. . I have been told anything over 700 have to start thinking other mods.

You've gotta remember these cars are heavy...and the OEM tires really sucked. Put a decent set of street tires on the car, and do some rear suspension work (solid subframe bushings, real control arms and bushings and whatnot) with a good alignment in it, and they hook up a surprising amount of power...I know a lot of people complain about IRS cars and big power over solid axle cars...and I've owned a lot of solid axle cars (heavier and lighter than this car) with less power that couldn't hook up the way this car does on the street...

To be honest, I don't think I'll even be happy with 750, but that's why I'm targeting 4 digits. I've got a bottom end that I hope is built to take it (my engine builder and I put a TON of effort/money into it) I just hope I can get there without making a mistake in the tune and blowing it up.

No absolutely not - that mileage is nothing to be worried about!! Only time I am worried about a car's mileage is if we baseline it on the dyno and it appears to be tired, and has low compression, etc...I'd think nothing about modding a car in the 18k-30k mileage range, that's just nicely broken in at that point.

My own car makes 700rwhp, I think it's great. Is it more power than I can really use on the street? Oh yeah, you have to be careful with it otherwise you'll get yourself hurt. But it's fun, and the car feels like a monster. I'd rather have more power than I can use than be bored with what it came with.
