Driving Gloves

I like to wear driving gloves because I think they look awesome and make me look badass. Anyone else wear gloves? If so, what kind do you wear, and what benefits do you see when wearing them?

I don't own them. I am cursed with hands that get sweaty. The sweat ruined the steering wheel and gearshift knob in my Sol GXP in four years. Crummy krap pleather, but still.

I can understand wearing them.

Gee, guys. Thanks for the sarcasm. I appreciate it. But, if it makes me less of an easy target, I do only wear them during cold days as my hands get hella sweaty. Eh?...

I have wanted some since I got my Camaro. Can't find any in a store where I can feel them & try them on. I have small hands & want them to feel nice. I worry about messing up my stitching & leather on my steering wheel & shifter & I like the way it feels when I drive in my nice soft leather winter gloves.

But yeah, we had this discussion not long ago.

I contemplating getting some, trying to keep my steering wheel in good shape. One day I was working and my hands were so rough I wore nitrile gloves to drive it home. I ruined the steering wheel on my Grand Cherokee when I had it. Although it's not my everyday car, still want to protect the interior on the car.

A guy at work wears them. He drives a Sentra. He likes to give shoulder rubs (we're chemical plant workers, male dominated), he's a creeper.

They mess up the microfiber steering wheel for those that have it.

BMW drivers where gloves.

And I think we all know what that other thread that got deleted said about the BMW forums.

I suppose those were poor choice of words. I'm a bit a style guy. I like wearing them with business attire; shirt, tie, etc. However, I won't be stupid like 50 Cent and wear them with military attire (especially when he was never in the Marines).

Lol. No, actually. Those seem silly, even for me. And I wear lots of things that people would ridicule.
