That's pretty wild. I'm not going to race a semi until I get my V8.

There is something wrong when a truck accelerates up a hill pulling two trailers. But I think I like it. Any guesses as to how much torque they are putting out?

My grandfather owned a trucking company for years. For about 3 years he tried to get into semi dragging and tractor pulling. I tell you what, those engines are POWERFUL. I can remember seeing one of those trucks twist the drive shaft into a nice little nasty knot.

Imagine a riced out Civic trying to do a fly-by against one of these. It would never work!

my buddy had a WRX with a decent amount of money put in to it. He went to a nascar event and afterward on the highway he saw one of the racer's semi's hauling the trailer with the car in it. He pulled up beside it and the driver smiled and then pulled him. he said that there was no way that it was a normal semi, and he heard what he thought must have been a turbo the size of a 5 gallon jug. I kid you not he was so pissed about being left by a semi on the highway he traded his WRX in for a Silverado the next week.

Mother of god.. We need diesel camaros. I don't care what the treehuggers cry about, I'll tape their mouthes to my tailpipe and MAKE EM love it.

Now I know why my buddy's family moved all the way from St. Petersburg RUSSIA to work in the US on DDs. Apparently the Russians swear by them.

I doubt it had anything done to it but 1000 lb ft will pull on you from time to time.

well, from the sounds of things with the emissions equipment on the new duramax, they probably could breath the air from the tailpipe and be just fine. lol

I dont know...me personally...dont feel safe around drag diesels...do you know how much compression those things have...if you just take some regular old diesel in a junkyard...they usually have atleast 20:1 compression...I've heard stories of people literally blowing the heads off the block and through the hood...especially on some of the older isuzus
