Installing vvt-1 cam. the anticipation

2010 camaro ss l99
vvt-1 cam
obx long tube headers
cats deleted X-pipe built
kn&n intake
hp tuners
75 shot wet kit
br6ef plugs uppon install (or should o stick with br7ef plugs in combo with spray and cam?)


that's basically it. this is the starter thread as i will be updating with pics, vid, dyno numbers. any guesses to before nitrous would be greatly appreciated!.

nah the adapters i ordered werent right, i made a brain fart and ordered a chrysler lug pattern thinking of my buddies 300c srt8.

On the 75 shot, a #6 should be fine. Anything over that and Id put the 7's in.

No guess hear........L99 OBX headers, Magnaflow mufflers, VaraRam, ATI pulley, tune, 437 rwhp 412 rwtq. Check L99 dyno thread for dyno sheet.

Ill be stepping up to a 100 shot with the cam, so ill go with the br7efs. Talked to my tuner about it and we decided to go this route. Now mind you guys my dyno will be a bit lower with the colder plugs and reduced timing but you will get the idea of where the cam is vs the mods. My last question is, will i run out of fuel in yhe rail? Will the pump manage to keep up?

Stock pump will handle it, for a while. Mine lived on the 150 shot for a little while.

excellent, btw i'm needing to hear an idle clip from anyone with a vvt-1 cam, i will make as many video's as i can of driving, idle, racing. because i've found almost nothing on the vvt-1 vs everything else. tons on the vvt-3 as far as idle clips and 1/4 mile stuff

Your going to need a stall converter with that cam, probably around a 2600.
with the stock one you'll most likely be using both feet when you brake.
