Internet Speeds?
I'm looking for new internet service and I'm just wondering what everyone's download speeds are and how much your paying. I know a lot will be different because of locations and such. If you guys would, could you go to this site: http://speedtest.net/ and post your results?

I'm just amazed that I'm paying around $45.90 for my service and my speeds are ridiculous (slow).



Thanks guys! Oh, and could you tell me the plan you're signed up for if you know? Like a 800K plan or 8MB/s -(ADSL, DSL, Cable, Satellite)

Wow I feel like I'm in the Stone Age here. The HIGHEST speed offered here is 8MB/s. 20+ MB/s is unheard of. People still have dial up here and they think my internet is realllllllllllllly fast which is ADSL

ideally, yes.

but that rating is not a continuous thing. just like an engine holding a rev at a certain rpm, if you put a load on it, it will drop down some then slowly work its way back up.
