*Guess* Z/28 Randy Pobst Laguna Seca Lap Time

'Ring time is in the books, time for another round of Guess That Lap Time!

I'm in for 1:36.2 which is faster than .2 GT3RS (uphill back straight of LS rewards HP/TQ).

I wonder how the list of top cars from the Ring compares to the list from Laguna Seca...

It's gonna be pretty impressive, no doubt about it.

I'm on board for 1:38.3, just a smidgen behind the new Stingray.

GT2RS is 620 hp twin-turbocharged, Z/28 won't beat that :-)

GT3RS is N/A 450 hp.

My thought as well. Very close to the 458's time. Which is amazing.

I'm gonna go with a 1:37.5 As impressive as the 'Ring time was, I'm thinking the gap it has over other cars on the 'Ring will be negated by the smaller course.

I think it might get a litle hot in here for me. Do you guys have flame suits available?

Why would it get hot?

Guess what LP? I disagree.
I think it will perform better at Laguna then the ring.
The reason is simple: no long straight line where the Z loses time stuck at the top end of it’s speed limit like at the ring.
Won’t happen at Laguna.

I disagree. I think it will be even faster on smaller tracks where horsepower can't overcome its handling advantages.

The fact that the GT500 beat the ZL1 on that track tells me power counts, then you look at the boss 302 just behind the ZL1, and it doesn't make sense.
I'm guessing 1:38 even....
