Next mod was to change the DRL bulbs to LED ones to better match the RS Halo's. One of the guys in my club had an extra set he was selling for a good price so I bought them from him. While I was changing the bulbs I decided to order the DRL harness from Gen5 DIY to have them stay on at night with my headlights. Here are a couple of pictures the first is one LED DRL and the factory one for comparison purposes. The second picture is the completed project.

Next I felt that I need to do something with the calipers. I considered getting the plastic covers but I thought they were kind of pricey for what they were. So I decided I would just get some G2 and paint them. I just got the regular G2 orange paint instead of color matching them in IOM. The standard orange is brighter than IOM and I think that brightness makes them stand out a bit more. I liked the way they came out.

Next on the list was another interior mod footwell lighting. I also got these from Gen5 DIY and they were really easy to install.

I decided that I wanted my next mod this past spring when I saw them on my friends Camaro (SSMike) at a car show Hex Vents. They looked so good on his Camaro I had to have them. I preorderd them and got them installed at Camaro5 fest in August by Steve from Hines Performance. This is far and away my favorite cosmetic mod on the Camaro. My winter project will be to take them off and paint the splash trays black and the mesh IOM.

My next Camaro purchase was out of necessity not want. New tires at 27,000 my rear Pirellis were done. I probably had a few thousand miles left on the fronts but I just figured it would be best and easier to just replace all 4 at the same time. I went with Goodyear Eagle GT Sport all seasons. They had a much better wear rating then the Pirellis and they ride a lot smoother. I dont have a picture because I did not take any during the install and lets face it they are just tires so not much to see in a picture anyway.

This is the most recent change to the Camaro and its probably a stretch to call it a mod but it does change the look a little. We got some personalized license plates. We had been talking about it for a while but it was hard to come up with something we could both agree on that was not already taken. We both thought that this was a good choice for a convertible.

Oops I just realized that I forgot one mod. The Vinyl I put on the bowties. I got it from Big Worm Graphics and the IOM looks so much better than the gold.

My future plans will likely include the following as time and money permit. Front splitter or new front end. I think the V6 front needs something to be a bit more agressive. I may just add a splitter or I may go with an SS front end I have not really decided yet. Some under the hood cosmetic items like strut covers, etc underhood bowtie, or possibly some LED lighting. I also want to add a heritage grill. Who knows what else may appeal to me down the road I will keep this thread updated as I add or change things.

Very nice... I am looking at doing the same thing eventually. Who did the paint work. I am looking at River City Creations & Lighting.

Thanks I did the paint work myself. Its actually pretty easy to do. The time consuming part was the masking. After that its a breeze just hit it with some adhesion promoter, IOM paint I ordered from paintscratch.com and some clear coat. I got the lettering from thestickerwitch.com. The whole job was probably less than $75. Its held up perfectly for more than 2 years and that includes the occaisional washing of the engine bay. If you choose to get it from River City though you wont be disappointed they do some fantastic work there.

Did you paint the black areas, or just tape them off and leave them as the stock material?

I just taped them off and left them stock. I kind of liked that finish when compared to the painted area.
