Ok Roller Skates?

What are the "roller skates" for on the factory Brembos?
And what harm will it do by removing them for smaller rims?
I see where people have removed them but just wondering what are they really for.

They help reduce squealing on light braking.

They are harmonic dampers meant to help stop squealing. They are part of the stock pad. Aftermarket pads do not have them. You may want to switch to Hawk HPS pads.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,
