SLP Headers, when?
Does anyone know when SLP will be offering header options for the 2010 Camaro?
They usually offer a slightly smaller (more of a mid length) header. They tend to be easier to install and fit better than some of the Long tubes.

Do the SLP headers bolt up to the stock exhaust? Basically can I run the stock catback or rear section exhaust with the SLP headers?
Or what's needed? Do I need the powerflow x pipe section?

I hope they'll bolt right up to factory pipes.
The SLP headers I got for my 04 Sierra did and fit very smoothly.

Im not gonna tell you to not to get SLP headers, but dont get SLP headers. They were probably the worst fit for 4th gens.

SLP is known for over priced products with lacking quality. Hell even their ls1 lid didnt fit right. Plus Ed hamburger is a tool. He wanted to bring the Firehawk back as a G8 just to squeeze out some more bucks.
Think of it this way. SLP was directly involved with the Camaro SS and couldnt get parts to fit right. Now they have nothing to do with it. They are a joke company for people that like to pay extra for a brand name. I take it you didnt own a 4th gen Camaro? If someone produces a junk product for years.....years without fixing peoples complaints why should they deserve another chance to earn peoples money? I mean technically they have the right, but who would actually buy from them knowing their poor history? Last edited by CamaroSpike23; 07-16-2009 at 02:08 PM. Reason: language |

Definately sounds like you have personal beef with SLP for whatever reason. I have used some SLP products in the past and they've always worked really well with no issues. There's also a lot of guys that like the SLP exhaust components. But I know their "performance packages" are way over priced. As far as headers, I've been using Kook's headers on my most recent cars. But I did have some issues with the last set (1 7/8 on my GTO) that didn't fit correctly (rubbing issues that we could not fix). And Kook's aren't cheap. But Kook's makes a quality product and the other headers I've used from them fit fine.

I have a set on my G8 and they were very well made and a perfect fit. Being very similar to the Camaro I think they will be just fine

SLP isn't any more expensive than Kooks and Borla, or for that matter most of its competitors from what I've seen.
