engine cover painted aqua plus a little chrome

does anybody know what the paint code is for aqua blue mat.body shop needs code .base coat, clear coat vin 2g1fk1ej5a9107895 body guy was bufing out a minor scratch on edge of front bumber pulled paint right off the f ing bumber paint is very soft .this guy has been doing all my work for years and never had this problem before .and yes i did trust him .just my luck i guess . he is going to spot paint the bottom of the bumber . any taughts on that . its low enough where you wont notice i guess .

Not only did he burn the paint, he roasted it.

If he is qualified to fix it, he should know how to get the paint code or get the paint matched thru his paint supplier. I hope you're not going to have other issues with paint match.

there was no paint codes in the car .they are located by the spare tire .but there were none there. and his supplier was closed .yes he did burn it but he just did the whole side of car and everything went fine .he is good but maybe the material used on the bumber is garbage .who knows will get fixed tomorrow i hope .hey the color match cant be no worse then gm on the bumber .

Anytime you use a buffer any raised area or raised edge if your not careful burn baby burn. Ouch!!!!!!! Most any good body shop shound know this.

what would be the least amount of space to be spot painted . im lookinkg at about 3inchs by 3 inches i hope . is that possible or do they need more . i want the least amount of the damaged area to be painted .being that low hopefully i will be the only one that knows thanks guys

You should never use a buffer on a bumper cover only hand rubbing

a little late for that . i guess i lived and learned . i watched him do it and he was not even at quarter speed . im thinking soft paint .well i needed that scratch out anyway so now it will get fixed not the way i wanted it but what the hell .. its actually transforming before your eyes dad my 7 year told me .

Hum this is a professional body shop?

The front fascia is made out of polyurethane. You don't buff it like it's steel.

The paint is same as every GM made in last 10 years with same type of bumper.

if that "spot paint" doesn't make your car look perfect.. Id have him pay for a completely painted bumper.

just got back from body shop. they took off the whole entire front bumber .he is going to spot paint the damaged part and clear the entire bumber .also he will paint my engine color the same as .pictures tomorrow

abm .129dollars a pint just for the blue pearl tint .holy shit .and we needed about 4 tints . but engine cover looks really good . finished pics tomorrow
