Synthetic Gear Oil or not?

On my 68 GTO with factory 355 posi, I put regular gear oil with a friction modifier added for the posi unit. I can not use synthetic gear oil because the clutches in the rear end would slip and burn out.

I have a 3013 Camaro 2SS automatic. Can I use synthetic gear oil with friction modifier added to my rear end?

Thanks
Dimitri

You can use either. I believe synthetic is recommended.
