I ordered the SLP loudmouth axle back system, which basically deletes the mufflers. Ive been looking but SLP hasnt posted anything. From what ive seen from similar systems. I am expecting a 20hp gain, is sound about right to anybody.

Also If I did the SLP 100hp packages that have been out in the past, and I would imagine will be out for the camaro, which includes headers, cam, and exhaust, would this really bump the car up to 526? Im guessing a tune would probably be in order as well. I just think for 1000 bucks plus some labor this is the easiest and cheapest way to get the car over 500 hp.

Also with a just a tune can the car's hp be bumped up anymore.

Your not gonna get 20 form a muffler delete. Its been posted many times these mufflers aren't that retrictive. All the power gains are made by getting rid of the stock manifolds and or cats or both, thats where these car are retricted the most. Your also not gonna find any new package including headers,cam,exhaust for $1000. Maybe in the distant future but right now headers along are more than that, full catback is more than that.

I'm looking at 1800 for longtubes and exhaust, 600 for mufflers, maybe another 400 for cai and then another 3 to 400 for a tune. So thats Roughly 3200 with no labor except a tune and I doubt i will be adding 100hp but its possible. I didn't have a HP goal I just knew I wanted headers/exhaust and cai I am undecided about a cam. I could supercharge it but its my daily driver and I'm just not big into supercharging.

got ya. yeah right now i dont expect anything for that price. But for the only LS1's in the my TA they had that kit for 1000.

I thought 20 was a little presumptios, really for any exhaust for that matter. But I was thinking more like in the 10-15 range 15 being high. But the link is below, if the exhaust isnt restrictive this system sure does ope it up. But either way I think i might lose about 40lbs in the suit case muffers. So HP t weight ratio might go up a fraction. but either way Im not going for the hp more the sound.

Yeah I'm after a good sound thats why i chose to shell out the cash for the ARH header system which does dyno 50rwp with a tune and borla mufflers. I'm spending 36k on this car and I want everything else perfect.

this is kind of what I was talking about. Ive seen somewhere else where they advertised it as the SLP 100hp package. Granted we wont see the price in this range for the camaro for probably 3-4 years. Which i dont know if you can get the 100 but i think with the correct tune with this maybe 50-75

i was thinking charger but that 6k more and there goes the warranty, i dont care what people say everybody thats had a charger on something like this has problems.


I will look around to see if I can find that 100 HP package, it was for the LS1 but it had, cam, headers, exhaust. it was like 1000 or 1500. Like you said you wont see it for the camaro that cheap but maybe in three years.

Yeah I knew what you meant. Realistically i might be pushing 100 added horses, since ARH has a confirmed 50+-hp with tune and just a tune alone will give you 10 to 20, and i'm holding out for the vararam intake which advertises big gains 20-30 with money back guarentee, and maybe the borla add a few horses as well.

i would love to get a cam and headers, its so much the money which im guessing for the two installed would probably run 1500 or so???? its that I kind of want to keep the warranty valid. Headers would only void everything back on that. But a CAM I would think would probably void any engine problem that arose, or at least thats what they would blame

Yeah I'm waiting on cam, doubt i can wait till warranty expires but I try and wait till the car has plenty of miles on it and hopefully no problems. 1500 is a little wishful thinking for headers and cam especially installed, my headers were 1800, that's the ARH system but they sound great and give best gains proven by dyno. I no expert but they are the best so far for fifth gen in my opinion. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.

I'm running the loudmouth on my car and it sounds awesome. I don't think it made any difference in power, but it sure sounds bad ass!

ARH must be top notch. but guys on here have paid 700 bucks or so for sets, and IDK what cams cost, but thats probably more labor involved with the cost on that.

1800 is actually a good price for what you get and the fit of the system, because its long tube headers and x pipe and full exhaust piping back to mufflers so your basically getting everything except new mufflers. Headers alone for my civic are $800 for the best and of course thats half the amount of headers a V8 requires.
