Hi there all, I'm after some advice as i live i Australia! Would i be able to drive out of a GM dealer ship with a 1le 1ss nnp with Recros for $40000 US"? I'm currently trying to organise finance, conversion alone to right hand drive is $33000!

First, I recommend contact Becky Rodgers of Rodgers Chevrolet in Michigan. There may be other great dealers out there, but she specializes in new Camaros and is a well respected sponsor of Camaro5. I doubt any other dealer can do better in price.

Second, would you get any advantage from buying used? I thinking of export taxes and rules.

Third, cant you get an exception for Left Hand steer or is it simply a must have item?

I just went through this with a private sale to someone in NZ. In that case they preferred to buy used to avoid export restrictions.

It is possible. My car is a 1SS 1LE with NPP and Recaros and I was was just under $40k OTD. Ordered through Cla$$ic Chevrolet in Texas.

I just ordered a 14' 1SS, 1LE, NPP, RS for $37,188 on Friday, if i would have added Recaros it would have jumped to $38,943

If you can afford 33k just to switch to right hand drive you can afford a couple grand more if needed. But you can get out the door below 40k

Thanks SC I have already emailed Becky but she is not allowed.... apparently it is illegal to sell cars knowing they are going over seas..... from a dealer that is! Also in Australia we have to have right hand drive (sux).
