Done for the season

Car is away for the season. I have all winter to decide what I'm going to do to it in the spring.

Sorry about the hibernation, that would be tough.

Just put mine in storage today as well. I leave my insurance in force all year round just in case each month when we have our Detroit5thGen Camaro club meeting the weather is nice enough to pull it out for the day.

All covered up with tender hooked up.

Sad time in Michigan for sure, as many of the Camaro's are going to sleep. Mine head that way in two more weeks.

As for what to due over the winter, OH, I am sure you will come up with a few good ones. Starting with a visit to Livernois?

Not sure. It doesn't need much. I'm thinking a small bump and drag radials.

I don't know how you guys back east do it, With the cooler air this time of year, it brings out more of the higher HP cars and the meets are later in the afternoon, which is perfect cause I like to sleep in.

Just when I start to get bored with it, it's time to put it away. Then in the spring it's like getting a new car every year.

Lucky enough to live in the one part of Canada that will rarely see any real Winter. Just purchased another set of rims to change out the wheels and tires for the season. But, man do these cars like a cool crisp morning to make some HP if it could only hook up.

Was in the low 70s this past weekend.....Was able to put about 220m on this Sunday. (These cars handle great, especially once the tires are a bit warmer to match the roads)

In case you didn't already know , there is a price to pay for those who want to live in a place like yours
Nothing is free , and the pain of having a car stored for that long is part of the bill for that , that's all there is to it

Going to perform some mods over the winter. Cold Air Intake and some dress up. I've lived in San Antonio, and the winter's are very nice down south for sure. But, Michigan is home. Someday, I'll be a snowbird in south for the winter !

...I drive mine in the winter if it's over 40 degrees, when the road is clear and dry....when I get the free time.

Count me as one of those who will drive his ZL1 when the roads are clear and dry.

I just had my winter wheels and tires mounted today so i wiil be able to drive it even when temps are below 40.

Save the money you would have spent on gas for it and you should have a nice bit of change for mods.

Hey, there's an idea....save gas money. I really don't drive it that much to save enough. It's not about the money. Lots of discussion about driving these cars throughout the winter months on "nice days" or when the roads are "clear." I can't see doing this. I drove it Sunday. It was a nice clear day but it was 46 degrees. These tires do not do well. They get very hard at these temps and quite frankly are dangerous. I can't just baby this car around. Not to mention the black ice we get up in these parts. This car and the winter season don't mix. I don't mind putting it away at all. It seem like a new car again come April.

All true statements........I don't blame you a bit for putting it away.

Yes I may pull my ZL1 out of storage for a day or two each month when we have our monthly meeting, but I already switched wheels/tires for a set I had on my 2011 SS, so If I take it out, it'll be on stock SS P0's not the Goodyears.
The Goodyears are now resting in my basement.

Were suppose to have nice weather on Friday, just might have to drive the Z to work one last time before too much salt and sand finds it's way on the roads.
