Smile Showboards for car shows.....

I thought I'd post this up to see if hopefully there would be some interest. I got laid off 2 months ago and while I'm continuing to look for work I need both something to occupy my time and help me earn a little extra cash. I make showboards for car shows here and there and can make them however you'd like them done. I would just need a few high res pics and the info you'd like on the board and anything else you'd like incorporated. I can either do two things:

1.Do the artwork and layout and email the file and then you have it printed/mounted yourself

2. Do the artwork/layout and have it printed and mounted at a place I use that does excellent work via mail.

I am only charging $40 for my time and the actual cost for the printing/mounting which varies depending upon the final size of the print. The sizes I usually do are a 16 x 20 and the total price with shipping for the company I use is $38. The turn around time would be about 10 days or so.

Here's some examples of boards I've made in the past. Reminder...I can do anykind of layout you'd like. Oh and if you're local....northern VA, MD or DC my b/f (sicsix6) and I can even take the photos for you. In all but the last showboard I took the photos btw

Thanks!
-Michelle

Michelle does GREAT work and is a GREAT person to deal with.

I've seen companies offering similair products at much higher prices. They have nothing on the quality of Michelle's work.

Great work Michelle! Thanks!

Wow, I am going to bookmark this thread, I have never been in a car show but having a document/art like that would be awesome.

So glad you are happy with the board Ed!! Thanks for the praises .

Dr. Jekel....I make boards for any make/model car. I just need high res pics and anything you'd like to be on the board.

Here's one I made for a local guy and one I just did for myself this morning

Thumbs up

Very cool idea Michelle. I take it you were a graphic artist/desktop designer?
I got laid off in March from a print shop working as an electronic prepress operator. I like your boards. (If I brought my car to car shows, I would have you hook it up for me, but I don't trust the monkeys that go there and I don't want any more mileage on my car.)
Good luck with everything!

Thanks for the compliments . Actually nope I wasnt a graphic designer. I just do this on the side and have for years. I never went to school and am self taught and no one seems to want to hire someone without a degree. Sucks. I was just a receptionist/adminstrative assistant prior. Thanks for the well wishes

Jayhawk...thanks. I'll look forward to creating a showboard for you
