Hello everyone! (Fuse Pull V6)

I've been visiting this website for sometime, and decided to finally join after reading many Camaro SS owners say that the "Fuse Pull" trick doesn't work for the Camaro V6. I'm going to disagree fully. After installing a SPECTRE Cold Air Intake I gained more power from the Stock K&M. I then decided a month after to purchase two Flowmaster Super 44s and have them professionally installed. I noticed a lot of lower-end Torque lost because of the Flowmasters. I decided to try the Fuse Pull after reading a lot about it.

So at about 10:00 Sunday November 24th (yesterday) I pulled the #5 and #20. Now I watched some NFL Games, played some Xbox 360, went on some Sites (if you know what I mean), watched some VitalyZDTV Pranks on Youtube and along came 6:30 PM. I took a shower, got dressed and brought down the 5 and 20 to put back in their rightful place. When I turned my engine on, you could hear the difference already.

Now when I reversed out of the driveway and had a clear line of go to push the gas, I did and the Camaro had regained the lost power because I basically burned out haha. I'm so happy that this worked!

Now the next step would be to buy a JET Mass Airflow Sensor for about 120 off a known Auto website. I heard it's better than stock, gives you a boost in power and 40+ more percentage of airflow? Anyways what's your take folks?

P.S. - If some of you say the car will go back to normal after about a 100 miles of driving, i'll just redue this trick over night.

Really....going to keep unplugging the fuses every hundred miles so the car never leaves "learning" mode. That's a winner.....

Can you record some video of this? I'm not being skeptical, I'm interesting in seeing the difference for myself

Why is keeping it in learning mode a bad thing?

@45thCamaro

I guess I could but what I should of done was record prior to the fuse pull. I know for a FACT it made a difference because when I put my foot down on the gas after the Super 44, it felt like an older vehicle trying to regain it's youthfulness.

My theory is that after the reboot, the vehicle recognizes the Super 44 Exhausts as part of the body?

If you think this is the thing to do. Then install a switch on the fuses why pull them?

Glad to hear you think the fuse pull has helped. If you want to keep pulling it every 100 miles, then that is your choice. The rest of us who have been around a while knows this is just the learning doing its thing.

As for the JET Mass Airflow, many have found this to be a paper weight after testing. It does nothing for our V6. However, if you wish to test it and report back how much you like it, many of us will be happy to read your story.

Good Luck

Maybe I will install a switch! I guess wear and tear by constantly pulling and putting back a Fuse isn't wise.

In response to the JET Mass Air Flow Sensor....You just saved me about 130 dollars.....I'll pass on purchasing it now since you along with others have had real positive effect after install.

I was thinking about purchasing DT Shorty Headers, but I heard the Stock Manifold are fine.....

Not sure what the weather was like out there on the evening following your fuse pull... here the temps have dropped very sharply and the performance, feel, and even the sound improve as the temps drop.

Is it possible that the perceived (and quite possibly actual) power gains are due to weather change and not related to the fuse pull?

I had small gains from my DT shorties. Sounds better too.

Sorry, just had to do it....seriously though, I went the shorty header route and realized that you get a better bang for the buck with Hi-Flo cats....like 5 hp versus 15hp. Also, all the "pulling" aside...sounds like you would be a good candidate for a tune.

I'll take some videos before Fuse Pull, and after in about 100 miles. (to those who are interested). Also about the assumption of me looking at Porn, you're wrong!

Hey 45thCamaro.....what you think?

I just love the 2:18 mark ....the music and the outcome of this nightmare.

that car is obscene and disgusting looking.
I don't know alot, but I would be leery of taking my car to any garage that had that much trash piled up outside.
