I think the retro (2010 and up Camaro ss's as well as the 2011-2014 Mustang GT 5.0) will have excellent resale values in the next 10 years as well.

Yeah, hard to say but having lived 57 years, I've seen the V8 / performance cars fall in and out of grace during some eras. After the 70's oil embargo, Detroit made the decision - for us - that we needed little, nondescript, cars with little motors with front wheel drivetrains. We're enjoying what may be the last renaissance of Detroit muscle right now.

MY fear is, that when us boomers die off, the "muscle car" of yesteryear (current year) will be another thing undesirable attributed to the boomer legacy. Face it my fellow boomers, the younger generation thinks we effed up the planet. (jury's still out...) The future Camaro may be a hybrid electric water-burning hydrogen "Flux Capacitor" powered God-knows-what!

I think they already know. My husband has a 2012 2SS and I have a 2011 2LT. It cost more to insure the LT by $70. Makes no sense. Go figure.

I cant begin to imagine how much less you would get for other muscle cars. I was offered an insulting trade in value when I once considered it earlier this year. But hey good news on camaro!

Thanks! Wanted to be different from the regular Rally stripes and carry some black into the rest of the car. Like your ride also.

Got it from Ricks Graphics in PA.

While I'm not planning to sell my car unless I absolutely have to, it is reassuring to hear that. However, I bought mine second hand outside of the US. When the first owner bought it in October of 2011, he paid about 500,000 RMB which is just about $82,000. (its "just" a V6 auto!). I got it for a steal at 360,000 RMB which is just under $60K and had less that 10,000 miles on her. In two years it depreciated sharply, but that is because it is difficult to register cars, and people who are buying cars now tend to go to buy new cars, driving all second hand car prices down, after the initial depreciation the prices don't drop as the car gets too much older. Still, I have no plans to sell!
