What else do you drive?
We're all Camaro lovers, but what else do you drive? What does your wife or husband drive?
I drive a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin Edition, and my wife drives a 2003 Pontiac Montana. I know, it's a Ford...but it is honestly the best vehicle (other than a Camaro) that I've ever owned. |

No problem that it's a Ford. We all respect each others rides here no matter what make or model they are. We might not ever purchase anothers choice of vehicle, but we still respect them no matter what.
My daily driver is in my sig...the 02 SS. My wife has a silver 05 Kia Sorento w/ all the bells and whistles just like the one in the commercials. |

Ya I am just not a ford man but like Tag said we respect your ride, I guess it is just how you were raised like my whole family is Chevrolet all the way. But I never did part with my best Camaro the 92 Z28 it sets in the garage beside my dads 73 Z28, I only drive it on good days like when I have a date or going out with a few friends and want to show it off. But I don't want to drive it every day because I got the car when I was 13 and got a job and paid it off at age 15. Then started fixing it up all new ground effects 18in rims and a big sound system and the ram air hood and the fancy spoiler. And all this time and money I got into it I don't want to wreck it or have somebody to hit me All and I lowered it it sets 2.5in off the ground. So I went and bought a 96 Chevrolet S-10 w/a 350 in which I like and I lowered it too, 3in off the ground. But I guess I will start fixing it up next. But it sucks I am working to jobs after school and weekends to pay for the truck and insurance on both of them.

Right now it's only the GTO, but I probably won't be driving it as much when I add the Camaro to my garage. My boyfriend also drives an 05 GTO…

Winter in MI = Salt on roads, Salt = rust... Finding a rust free vehicle in MI is like searching for a needle in a haystack...

I was actually a strict GM guy for years until I bought my Sport Trac. My Aunt worked for GM, so it had some perks. Here's the GM cars I owned prior to my Sport Trac:
85 Z28 93 Cavalier 92 Bonneville SSE 96 S10 Blazer LT I loved GM, but they just didn't make anything that compared to the Sport Trac when I bought it. Of course shortly after that the Colorado and Avalanche came out. Oh well. |

My ride is a recently leased 2006 Acura RSX Type S. I had an '03 Type S earlier this year that got stolen. So I replaced it with another one. Great little cars. Very reliable and cheap to own. However, my next vehicle is definitely going to be Detroit Iron. There's nothing I crave more than V8 muscle and torque. Test driving a 2002 LS1 Trans Am WS6 last summer converted me into a muscle car fan. This new Camaro is definitely at the top of my list of next car to get. And if it comes out in 2008, I should be able to bail out on my lease early to get into it.

Well.......I guess I'm gonna be the enemy, but here's my story condensed:
I grew up in a japanese only house(my parents had owned domestics prior to my birth). When it came time for me to get my first new car I wanted a 2004 mACH1 Mustang(since Trans Ams weren't "new" anymore). However after the negative comments by several people, I got discouraged from buying American. I was looking at buying a Cobalt SS, since my uncle works for GM. However, I bought a 2004 Acura RSX Type S, great car as mentioned by rray2000, but it was missing something. TORQUE I got mad, and pretty much said, "I'm not gonna live my life in fear, if the Mustang/Camaro/Firebird were terrible cars...how do they have a 35+yr history?" So, I kept the Acura, but kept searching for a Firebird/Trans Am.....never found one in my price range(especially for a 2nd car), so I ended up getting a 2000 Mustang GT (flame on). I've had the car for over a year, and no problems. It's really changed my opinion on American cars, and I will be purchasing 1 of the big 3 pony cars either in 2010 or 2011. I also plan to continue to buy American as much as possible........as Toyota is the enemy. haha So to answer the question: 2004 Acura RSX Type S 2000 Ford Mustang GT |

You know, getting on the list cost me a $500 deposit, with a contract guarenteed at MSRP. I don't know if thats good or bad, but I was willing to pay to reserve the car.
Before I did the Porsche, I had always wanted to do a 69 Camaro (was my dad's first car). So as of right now there's not much I won't do to get the car. Is the norm to not have to put anything down? |
