Interesting idea. Did you use Lexan or Plexiglas? I'm thinking that Plexiglas would warp or crack from the heat.

Plexi for this v2 prototype... as I'm expecting what you mention and I'm interested as to how long it will last as it is under a wee bit of structural (bending) stress at the moment and the weather/heat is cooler now seasonally #UK

v3 will be Vacuum Formed Polycarbonate :-) with spacers to allow more air-flow.

Also, mine is a V6. Do V8's get hotter?

I'd much rather have Steve at Hines do a clear Vac Form from his Design !

Probably not hotter but produce a larger volume of heat. The heat after shutting off the motor from the headers and supercharger would have the greatest impact in my case. The supercharger is very close to my current trays, in fact the supercharger pulley was hitting one tray and I had to put a dimple in it to clear.
I didn't see any support for the hood liner. Did you do something to hold it up?

The Tray Lip (raised edge wall) extends 1cm over the Liner. (All round), so it clamps it in place.

v4 idea is raised vent holes inline with the Hex Vent main braces (between the holes) which you would not really see, but that's more of the Vac Forming solution options.
