GM Bushing Change

Does anyone know when GM made the slight change to the more "filled" subframe bushes? I know someone had said January 2011 builds looked like they had the new filled in bushes but I wanted to know if that's the earliest that's been reported.

No one?

Will I not know until I'm installing them?

Actually this is a good question. I would like to know as well. Particularly the difference in all of GM's sub frame bushings. Differences between the early design, the '12 and later as well as the special offering in the zl1, 1le, and z28. It would be good to have all of is in one thread.

On my 2013 the bushings are soft rubber, I have a 1LE kit waiting to be put on in Jan. Those bushings are hard bushings. No push or squeeze with them.

Interesting info about the 1LE bushings.

The reason I ask is because I'd like to know what type of bushing I have to know if I have to modify aftermarket bushing inserts

The bushing change only filled in a little more rubber, that is why they say you have to trim them some for the newer cars. They are still real soft, actually I checked them last night and could not believe how soft they are compared to the 1LE ones I held and tried to squeeze in my 1LE kit.
