I really want to start documenting some of the events and driving I do in my Camaro, but I really don't see the need to buy a 400$ camera. How many of you have a GoPro, and what do you suggest? I'm not looking to make epic racing films, just put together some youtube videos, and build a library.

Spend a little extra and get the gopro hero 3 black. You will start out with basic features but will quickly start utilizing all the features that this camera offers. It's a great addition to your Camaro.

I have the black. Got it for the remote, which I haven't used once. Wifi on iPhone works great. Get silver IMO.

If you want to start out with something a lot cheaper but has a lot of functionality I have a origonal Go Pro with the LCD backpack, and a wi Fi backpack and wrist remote with a couple different case backs and stick on mounts I will sell for $175 for everything. I got a new go pro 3 for my birthday so I no longer need this one.

I have the white edition and it has pretty good video for the price... I couldn't see myself spending $400 on one either.

the 3+ is way better....I currently have the 3Black and love it but will be getting the 4 when it comes out in a few months or so

Hey Ruby! I've been traveling a lot this last year, hope your Holiday was a good one. I'm the only red ZL in Clarksville and I drive a lot. Rain or shine. Having the 3+ with wifi capability makes it all worth while. I wouldn't like the camera at all without having the app on my phone that allows easy preview and full control of what I shoot.
We really should have an informal Cville get together for those crazy enough to drive our cars in the cold.
