Does anyone know how many R6P early activity ordering units there ended up being? I know going by VIN is not accurate, since some non-R6P units were built before R6P ones (please do not make this thread a sounding board for that mess.) Just want to know how many total R6P Camaros there are out there. I searched already and could not find the answer. Thanks!

Thats about how many pre-orders they took.... right?

I'd make a safe bet that there were around 14,000 or a little more since GM had that many orders before start of production

Good luck with that. My car was R6P and it was not on the window sticker. I was listed on Spastic Squirel earlier but now shows as a non R6P car.

I have the documents showing order date as well as the letter and picture.

Interesting.

I tried to think of something nice to say for the 14,000 of us that preorderd, and especially the dealer alloted cars, but the words won't come to me. But hey, we are the die hard camaro enthusiasts that knew long before production what a great car this was going to be and is.

I'm the same as Robin. Mine was RP6, got the letter and pic, was RP6 on the on-line window sticker, actual sticker no RP6.

I have an R6P order, I ordered in February...I'd love to tell you that the R6P code is on my window sticker, but I don't even have a freakin car yet!!!

Thats interesting, my show up on spastic squirel and on my final window stricker. Not that it meant anything in the end because they still charged my for my IOM color when they weren't suppose too.

Does your window sticker show "Early Order Activity"? They don't print the codes (R6P, MN6, etc) on the sticker, only the text.

Spastic Squirrel doesn't have the R6P data for early cars (all of the ones without a "date found").

I thought 14000 pre-orders were already taken before I ordered mine in February?
I also thought if you made any changes after April 15 you lost the R6p code?

Im in the 25k VIN and im an R6P ... has it all over my workbench info too.

I believe (will have to double chek) that they had like 25,000 - 26,000 pre orders.

Many R6P orders will have a higher VIN than 14000 due to the dealership cars and GM producing cars out of sequence, rather than building R6P orders first. I believe 14000 is the number I was looking for. Hopefully we can get an exact number of actual R6P orders verified by a GM source. That number will come in handy when referencing the rarity of a R6P Camaro.

About the R6P. I just received a VIN 7/22. No window sticker yet. But my workbench print out has "R6P: Early Order Activity Ending 3/15309" in the Ordered Options section.

My vin is --- 128201

We will see if it shows on the sticker....

Ok guys i need some help with this.....I ordered on 2-14, but had hurst on my order, my dealer was too dumb to take it off before 4-15 i guess, so i lost my R6P on my sticker. That sucks. I can live with that, but i will not live with the fact that i also lost the discount. When i signed the order agreement in feb it was 40,668 total, Now it was known i was supposed to get a 500 dollar discount cause we knew the dealer. but this 40,668 included the hurst shifter price, which was dropped. now when it came time to get the car 3 weeks ago i was too excited to study the price, but the price was 40,640 without the hurst, with a 93.70 document fee, so the dealer said i owed him 40,233.70, that would be the sticker document fee minus my 500. Now my question is how much did the price change after the March cutoff. Or basically how much does my dealer owe me? Cause if the price was 40,668 and you took off the how much? 495 hurst shifter, then that woulda been 467 dollar difference....

Basically how much did the price go up after R6P, and how much was the hurst shifter?

If what you say is true then there is no reason why you should have lost the R6P code. Since the short throw was still on the order, it would not have moved forward in production to a point where the dealer had to do what he did. In other words, it appears that he cancelled your original order instead of modifying it.

Hmmmm... Well Hylton, I don't know u, but I know enough to trust your opinion. I know u know what you are talkin about. So u think that just editting my order shouldn't have dropped my r6p? I have signed invoice from 2-14, yet no r6p on my window sticker? I guess I should just be happy I got my car and got it 500 of msrp. We ordered a white 2lt today at msrp from a diff. dealer.

Yes, I went through the same process because I also had the short throw shifter ordered. I did not lose my R6P code when I made the changes. I believe they either cancelled your original order or gave it to someone else. Did you get the original order number?

Ya I got the original order number, and I never had a reason to think it was canceled, I found out week of 4-20 that it went 3300 but only after he edited the shifter off. So who knows? How much was the hurst? And how much was the increase for IOM?
