Iceolator for Manifold - left over bracket

So I have installed this:

And in the process it says to leave out the Front Manifold support bracket, and it's OK to do that...
The one the chap is holding here with his left hand:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7279607

But has anyone got an alternative Bracket we CAN put on?

Just leave it there. You really don't need it. You can hold onto the bolt in case you ever return it to stock. If you want to use the engine cover, you can add a few washers under the little post to the left of the throttle body.

Disconnect the battery if your going to unplug the Throttle body. I just left the connection and set the throttle body to the side. Is that a 10mm or 25mm?

Iceolator for Manifold - left over bracket

Thanks EddieFuzz,

I have my CatchCan mounted via the Post so all should be good for the Engine Cover level.

It is a 5/8"? Iceolator via. Apex ... it's NOT the 25mm it's the thinner one ... and a new Ported TB at the same time! :-)

I just removed mine so it does not look like something's not right. I'd say remove it.

I saw this on another Forum Post ... but it was to do with the 25mm Iceolator ... not sure ours would give enough height.

I made an adapter for mine. A piece of 1/4 inch aluminum plate with 2 holes drilled in it and a piece of 3/4 inch aluminum round stock with 1 hole drilled through center. I realize it probably isn't necessary but it does give it a finished look.

No it isn't. I have some closer up pics at home. I'll try to find one that shows it this evening if I can remember to.

I think in the Instructions you put those back on the Manifold before you bolt it back on the Engine?

could anyone explain it a bit better, the bolt holes dont line up with the iceolator one so I cant see how they would be put back in. Anyone that installed this have any advice?

Just the one bolt that mounts from the engine to the manifold don't line up. You really don't need it. In post 15 the guy made a brace thing. The six bolts on top line up, that's what you need. That's for the 3/8, if you go 1inch you need 6 longer bolts.

This is the best pic I could find in my pics but you can see it is just out or alignment a bit & the bolt is left out. Like others have said, the important bolts still work & it is fine without this one.

these are the parts I have left over. The 2 bolts would go behind the engine to connect to the firewall I believe, just want to make sure they dont need to go back in because the holes didnt line up anyway.

Those things aren't important as long as you don't go over 50mph..

J/K, the two rear bolts and the front bracket are not used with the iceolator. Which is good cause those real bolts are a pain.
