The person driving the "camera car" was driving the EXACT same car.

GM IS toying with us. BET.

Nice try, guys, but we expect BETTER.

Take that to the BANK.

Take your "sucker bet" back to the line. Nice Try. :(

Uhm toying with us how? Even if this was done by GM (which I don't think it is) who cares... they're giving us a glimpse that we've all wanted to see. Fbodfather has himself said that they're testing cars with different striping/looks so it's not like this is going to be a fake car they put out there just to mess with us. You think they're that bored

I appreciate the video having been taken and I love what I see. She looks awesome in motion (even if slowly heh).

That is freaking sweeeet. Loved the rumble from that beast, but I gotta agree with others, I like the hockey stripes, I could live with them, but the center stripe? No, i'd have to pass, it at least to me doesn't suit to cars lines. Now as far as the shark fin, from what I can see it looks like it's still on the roof.

I had my camera out to film the drive, yes, and when I saw this I got as much video as I could!

That day was 3/15. It was actually a chilly(er) day... tops it was 75 out there. I'd imagine it was a suspension torture test as that ENTIRE dirt road (22 miles) is all washboard-ey.

Thanks for the support... the Mustang is my dads, not mine. I've had 3 third gen Camaro's and I'd never go Ford. Yes, yes, I know, I have a Jeep and a Toyota now... but no Ford :p

Sorry Your mistaken sir. The car that was taken out of was a mustang, look at the dash, door panle and the steering wheel.

Someone indicated that having "only" the same engine as the G8 GXP would be a bad thing for the Camaro. Why is that? I don't know about you, but having the top engine from a large sport sedan in a little compact sports coupe sounds like a heck of a lot of fun to me, especially with the reviews the L76 powered GT got.
Amen

I know this is a couple days late...but you said to correct you if you were wrong... :P Starting in '95 base models were given body-colored side-view mirrors! Granted there were Z28s that had black side-view mirrors...there were also many Z28s with body-colored mirrors...AND additionally, there are Camaros with the 'SS' package (aside from anniversary packages) with side-view mirrors painted black.

Honestly...I don't think the mirrors are a good way to gauge what trim level this particular Camaro was...besides the fact that we don't know whether the SS or the Z28 is going to be the highest level...or even if the Z28 will be offered...(even though they really should offer it ) I hope I'm not being offensive...

About your brother's Cherokee SRT-8...425 HP through all 4 wheels...(right??) should definitely take a GT500...because they're both heavy SOBs. But I wouldn't expect a 400 hp Camaro to take on the GT500...I hope that's not what's being assumed here...because if that's the case...there may be some disappointed people. With that said...I HOPE...the "400" hp...will be able to keep up with the GT500...but who knows
