Anyone hear of this oil catch can for the ls3?

Here's the address, saw it on eBay and was wondering if it's useful or a bunch of bs.
Thanks.

Catch cans do work, but I don't know if I'd pay $40 for that one. It looks like a basic, plastic oil separator. When I think of a catch can, I think of this:

But that's just my .02

That is a sham. That's a 5 dollar air compressor oil seperator that they're trying to sell you for 40 bucks. That's not a catch can. While that filter works great the "catch" area is not big enough, so once that little plastic reservoir fills up, the rest of the oil keeps on going into the intake.

You need a catch tank that has more volume to be effective. I know this because I tried an easy set up like that on my old Cobra, and it didnt work for shit.

Dont waste your money, there's plenty of viable solutions out there for PCV catch cans.
Here's a very nicely designed and useful. But they market them to vette owners, so you know it aint cheap! http://www.eliteengineeringusa.com/C6Catch_Can.html

If you have gone to forced induction they are a good idea. Naturally aspirated it is up to you.

They are more commonly used on ls1s with the shit pcv system that used to eat oil. I dont think its necessary for an ls3. They seemed to of fixed the consumption issues.

LOL.

I actually had one on my SRT4. Like others said, it is a air compressor water vapor catch.

Mine was a little larger than that one. Bought it at Walmart. . . . Worked great.

Nah, probably not necessary on a stock engine.
