What maintenance to do right after the car is broken in???

I now have 1200 miles on my SS camaro, my car is nicely broken in. Before I take it to the track to see what it can do I would like to change the fluids in the car. Should I change only the engine oil or should I change the transmission and differential fluids as well???

I would definitely get the oil changed. I'm not too sure on the other fluids, I wouldn't worry about it, but I don't plan on going to the track.

Track as in what kind? 1/4 mile or road course? Engine oil absolutely; even if you aren't going to the track. If you're going to do 1/4 mile you don't need to change anything else really if you're just going to do a few runs. If you're going on a road course, change the brake fluid to something like Super Blue:

otherwise you'll boil the brake fluid and lose your brakes. Street fluid is not designed to handle the heat of road course racing.

yes, both are synthetic. but IIRC, the owners manual states that if you plan to race your car often that you should swap out the rear end fluid prior to going to the track.

I did oil and rear diff yesterday at the dealership. Ran me $188.00 . At least I got the first one out of the way. Now the rest will be done at my house.
