Suspension bump noise
Just inherited my daughters 2010 SS with 50,000 miles. I haven't been in a Camaro since 1969. Several things have changed and the one thing I noticed is while driving I hear a bumping noise from underneath the car like maybe the shocks are loose. I have inspected this thing while on my lift and there is nothing loose or broke or bent. Anyone else notice this noise ? Other that that I do not like this fuel management thing. Any comments ?

Could also be the exhaust hitting the tunnel brace, especially if it's aftermarket.

Is it a rattle in the rear over really bad bumps? my car did this too - and then it just went away. It was a really bad rattle but only occurred on very bumpy roads. I am going to test it out again this summer to make sure it is definitely gone but it was very noticeable. Like you I checked and checked and couldn't find the problem.

Both..sometimes it does it & sometimes not... Yes I do but it did it before BUT I think it worst now... Going to check it out once the weather is warmer for us to take our rides out of Hibernation....Going to check & maybe tighten the endlinks....end link on the bar side would be the first place to look so I was told...

Yes, in most cases, the sway bar end links are the culprit for most "clunking" noises. Check those, and if loose....use some loc-tite!!!

if you have lowering springs make sure they have the wrap on the springs, if not it's likely the source of the noise.
As Keith said the end links are the most common issue, and what the hell, you're Canadian, get your ass outside, lol |
