Thumbs down A Video that Will Make Your Ears Bleed

Attempts to date:
  • -Replaced Brake Pads (semi-metallic) = Unbearable Squeal
  • -Replace Brake Pads Again (ceramic) = Unbearable Squeal
  • -Pulled everything apart covered all appropriate parts in a bunch of brake grease = Still Squeals
  • -Pulled Off Rotors and Resurfaced = Still Squeals
  • -Covered rotors in spray on anti-squeak / resurface = Still Squeals
  • -10-20 pulls in a parking lot 40mph - 20mph to bed = Stopped squealing for 1 week / Only Squealed when hot
  • -Tonight drove down a highway for 1/2 hour stopping and going from 60mph 80mph 40mph until I went partially deaf = After they cooled down, the squeal was quiet or non existent.. Will see how long it lasts

Am I missing anything to fix this embarrassing noise?? When bad, it's easily heard from 1/4 mile away over longtubes and muffler delete..

Now on to the feature presentation...

Sounds like a bus. I know it would drive me crazy also.

Do you have stock or drilled/slotted rotors? They can be a little noisy.

Long time ago GM switched Camaro to organic brake pads due to customers complaining. That was before ceramic brakes. A top quality ceramic brake should fix it. Or get the OEM

Stock rotors with Wagner Quiet Stop Ceramics (ironic).. OEMs might be my next stop, I know they had those roller blades on them to help.

Also, I see your from Jersey, if you face the river and listen on a quiet night you may just hear them..

Which wheels are squealing? I noticed you have a 2010. Do you still have the wheel weights on the calipers or did yours come equipped with the roller skates? Some people have experienced a squealing after removing the weights and not really knowing what there for.

IMO your pad bedding is not aggressive enough. I suspect this might be your problem since you state the sequel got better after bedding.

I just saw your previous post. Those roller skates are there for noise reduction. Get some OE pads and that will help.

Wheel weights are still on there but perhaps some serious agressive bedding is needed..

That sucks, maybe the stock pads with the skates will help.
