Hello, search on Youtube for Zaino demonstrations on how to apply the polish. Here is one:

Great information!

Thanks,

You'll want to dampen the applicator with either water (which I use) or detailing spray. It will help in spreading the polish. Remember, a little goes a long way. A dime sized dollop will do an entire body panel, ie; fender, door, etc.

Hey Bobby!

Well, that's my leading candidate for the color I'll choose when I finally order.

Here's what I'd do;

1. A good bath with 'Dawn' to make sure the paint is clean.
2. Zaino Clay Bar treatment
3. A second bath using Zaino's Show Car Car Wash

* Depending on the paint condition, ie; swirls....

4. One coat of Zaino Z5 PRO Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks
(If paint is satisfactory at this point only one coat of Z5 is needed at this point.)
5. Two coats of Zaino Z2 PRO Show Car Polish

*Make sure and use proper towels (check out the blond towels at www.zainobros.com)

This will give you a good "base" of protection and incredible shine, as well as very good durability. You can also build upon the coats as needed, which will only add to the protection, durability, and shine.

I hope that helped? Please let me know if I can help you further.

Question? What is so special about Dawn? Why should I use that on my car instead of a soap made for cars?

I've heard that same thing. I got my A$$ chewed for using dish soap before. Maybe Dawn is different

You only use 'Dawn';

- If you've used a wax/polish other than Zaino and are planning on using Zaino polish on your vehicle. You need to strip the old wax/polish off.

- If the car is new, I do it as an extra step to remove any contaminants, ie; grease, oils, etc., from the paint prior to detailing.

I would never recommend using 'Dawn' or any dish washing liquid to wash a car other than for the reasons above. It's basically a means of giving you a "clean sheet" to begin your detailing process on.

Just find a place that sells gamma seal buckets,and then find a place that sells a grit gaurd.You just wont have the Zaino crest on the bucket

You may be able to find a Zaino distributor in Canada

Edit : found this place,i think they are in canada .No bucket but they have the rest of the products
http://www.ecklers.com/search.asp?ac...22+%223%22%3B+

or the Zaino canada store,the prices seem a bit higher but i dont know the conversion.

I have.

I still prefer using Z-2 and Z-5.

Its been my experience that using Z-5 first to take care of swirls etc., followed by a couple of coats of Z-2 provides the best finish.

Finally looking to do this on Saturday if the weather holds up. Do I do anything special with the vinyl stripes? Skip any steps? Obviously I wouldn't claybar it...

Nothing "special" with the stripes. It appears you have the black "matt" finish stripes - I would not use anything on them.

Just take your time in the applying and removal of the polish while also being careful to avoid the edges of the stripes.

If you have never used Zaino you will be truly impressed, I was. Moose (Ed) is a great resource and has alot of knowledge. He helped me tremendously with this. PS DO NOT WASH YOUR CAR WHEN IT IS HOT. You will have many water spots and Will spend many hours rubbing them out , Trust me I Know.

I'm considering going to ZAINO products also. Thanks for the great post, maybe ZAINO would do a group purchase for Camaro5 forum members?

I put three coats on my RJT and it is awesome, the evening bugs you get on the front end just simply wipe off. Works well on windows too.

Ask away!

I'm actually home today, Zainoing the SS, and finding new uses for Zaino while detailing under the hood.
