It actually only made 4.9lbs of boost. If it wasnt for the cam shaft being installed on this car it would have made 5-6lbs of boost. Once we upgrade the pulley this thing is going to be an absolute monster, not that it isnt one already.

Nice, power is awesome. But without Forged internals making 580+rwhp, does that not hamper reliability/durability. Don't get me wrong, HP is awesome, but reliable hp is better imo. especially when one is going to make 600+rwhp.

+1, also what about the pistons, they are not forged.

I think the main concern will be the pistons, as they are hyper eutectic and dont like boost combined with high compression. Hence why they're keeping the boost down.

I would like to hear LMR address the reliability issue. I am considering this setup, but am concerned about needing a forged internal rebuild. I also see that LMR upgraded the clutch. Was this required to handle the power at the current level or was it done for planned future upgrades?

Not to thread jack, but i can say that we have 2 camaros running 8 psi and 592 rw hp (91 octane) and 611 rw hp (93 octane) with about 3000 miles between then. They have been 100% reliable. It's all in the tune and combination of parts being used. I dont see the bottom end of the motor becoming an issue until you start pushing well beyond 600 rw hp.

You are correct John, We have built hundreds of LS3 Corvettes with similar packages making 650rwhp using a Procharger with stock internals and have NO problems. You guys will be suprised at how well drivability is on this setup. We turned the boost up to 7lbs and it made 599rwhp but was dropping fuel pressure. You can check the other thread we posted about the track results. That pass was done with the stock 3.8 pulley making 4.9lbs of boost. Once we upgrade the fuel system our TWISTED SLAYER Package will be making over 600rwhp on every build we do.
