hmm new spec dd clutch still didnt hold didn't go to the dyno or anything. trying to work things out with spec to see what exactly is going on... Car has a big month...magazine coming out in another week or so and World of Wheels Car show on the 21st of Jan. Still don't know if i'm in it though.

ok new update. took the larger spacer that i was given by spec and threw it away. I bought a new throwout bearing from gm and put the thinner spacer from spec in behind the bearing and now the clutch seems to work. Won't know till i have a chance to open her up more, but just cruising and going in reverse feels a thousand times better. Car is on display at World of Wheels Pittsburgh this weekend.

for all still interested car is running great. just swapped to the 3.4 pulley and we are seeing around 10psi now. I am ordering the drag suspension from Pfadt next week along with the 9" conversion from Hendrix Engineering. Be on the look out for one fast 5gen comin up!!!

For anyone still reading this thread, I'm planning on going to LSX Indy and have a new setup currently being installed. The car is getting a 2.9l whipple, which has been ordered already and the Pfadt drag suspension and Hendrix 9" is being installed to day. Car should have plenty of time to be dialed in before Indy. Lets see what this stock bottom end can handle!

Update: Car is has the v6 brake swap now, and getting 16" bogart rims with new slicks due to the whipple performing incredibly. The old slicks just wouldn't handle the power. Shake down runs for Indy are this thursday as long as everything stays on schedule!

Hey guys the suspension seems to work but I was unable to really test it out since the Hendrix/DSS 9" kit grenaded on me almost everytime this past weekend. Very upsetting, but I'm sure we will figure it out. Somehow everything but the axles broke.

Pics from the weekend. It was a rough weekend, we had a lot of part failures but only missed one pass and that was due to a shipping mishap. First we broke the serp belt tensioner, then we stripped splines on the stub shafts on the nine inch, then we did it again and stripped the splines on the diff, then we put in another companies 9" rear end in and broke both axles, then we made the DSS axles work with the other 9" and destroyed a serp belt, then we sheared off all the bolts that were holding the axles to the stub shafts. Even with all that we made it into the semi finals at LSX shootout.

On post #137 of this page where you are burning out i presume, it appears the rear slick expansion is going well into the rear (Wheel Well) body unless it is just the picture? Have you any concerns with cutting i slick if the picture is correct?, could be serious while running down a track...

It is, it will be at the body shop this winter to rectify the issue. I wasn't that concerned though. We kept checking the slicks for abnormal wear, and surprisingly they are quite resilient and showed nothing abnormal.
