Remove 12v socket from center console bezel

Anyone have any idea how to get this out? I'm going to paint the center console bezel to match my interior trim that I painted last week but can't seem to get the bloody socket out lol.

Here are some pics of what it looks like

This, but there are two locking tabs on the side. You need to use a small screwdriver or something to hold them open while you're twisting

Not sure how to twist it... there's a little black piece that stops it from turning?

Look at the backside of the thingy and you should see two little black plastic pieces going into it. You need to pull/push those out to remove it.

This? Doesn't seem like it will push through. Sidenote: Apologies, this is the first time I've done this lol
