Automobilia XPEL paint protection group buy

Hello all! I was at Automobilia in West Haven, CT this past weekend and spoke to the owner about possibly getting the XPEL paint protection film installed on my car. He mentioned that if we could get a group buy going on here, we would be able to get a discounted rate. I just wanted to gauge interest in this... We all know those gills need something to protect them, especially for those of us with those F1s...

I was thinking of doing the front bumper and the top portion where it meets the hood, as well as the rockers and rear fender gills. You can take a look at their website here: http://automobiliaofwesthaven.com/ They have a break down of the pieces you can have installed, so if you guys can give me an idea of what parts you want, we can see what kind of pricing we can work out.

(Just a note: don't be intimidated by the $1,000 per side for the rear fender pieces, that big chunk can be split up )

Current Discount: 30%
Discount expiration date: 5/31/14

I am actually headed there this morning to see what it will cost to get some work done to my car. I was told to talk to Christian. Is that who you are dealing with?

Yeah, I talked to Christian (owner's nephew) about the cost of the paint protection. But the group buy was suggested by the owner.

Anyone that is interested, if you can let me know what portions you would be interested in, that would be great. I asked about the 2 sections of the car I was most interested in, but if you guys wanna add anything, I will put together a list of who would be interested in what and come back with pricing.

I'd say give Rick @ Unique Car Care a call to see his prices too. He's well know around most forums as on of the best in the country. His prices seemed pretty similar to those in the catalog so it might be worth the drive .

Keith - I'm interested, may I suggest and edit to you original post and build a table of the pieces across the top and our names and Xes in each column for what we want. Their site isn't phone friendly so I can't see the pieces to tell you what I want.

Good job starting this though, I am definitely interested.

List of parts has been added! If anyone can't see the site and want more info on a specific piece, PM me and I will send you the picture.

I'd be interested in covering the rockers & gills but would need to know cost before committing, could we get quotes for 3 / 5 / 10 / etc installations? $1000 per side is insanely expensive. I learned the hard way that you get whet you pay for but ended up getting the entire front bumper (upper and lower), lights, mirrors, and patches behind the rear wheels redone at Unique for almost 1/2 your quote. That was about this time last year... film cost couldn't have gone up that much. Rick does do nice work, my only gripe is I had to be extremely persistent to schedule an installation - I'd be lying if I didn't admit it got pretty frustrating.

Like I've said in the past Automobilia's work speaks for it's self. Talk to Alex (owner) or Christian ( his nephew). I'm sure you will be able to talk business at their show on the 27th. They are very passionate about the work they do and you will make friends with a great bunch of guys.

Possibility for me:
Front bumper, Extended rocker, and behind the rear wheels (but not the whole fender, way too much)..

The $1,000 per side was for a huge piece that covers rear bumper to side mirrors, with a lot of wasted material, but like I said, that piece can be cut up into smaller chunks and be considerably cheaper. You don't have to commit to anything now, I just wanted to gauge interest then talk numbers with Alex.

Did you want the rear kit that covers up to the side marker or just the section that comes with the extended rocker kit? (looks to be about 1/4 of the rear bumper behind the tires)
