Calling all 5th Gens in Raleigh area!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

There's a new cruise-in that's starting up this coming Sat (2nd Sat) at Olde Time BBQ on 401 in Garner just past Grill 57 and across from the new Wal-Mart. I talked to a couple of you at this past Sat cruise-in at Char-Grill and we were hoping that some others could make it out and get a nice group of 5th Gens together.

Here's the rest of the cruise-ins for the month.

1st Sat - Char-Grill on Atlantic in Raleigh
2nd Sat - Olde Time BBQ on 401 in Garner
3rd Sat - Grill 57 on 401 in Garner (Biggest of the month)
4th Sat - Seaboard Ace Hardware at Seaboard Station in Raleigh

I'll try to make it this sat. I wanted to go to the show at Sir Walter, but i had some things change so i wasnt able to go. Will try this weekend

Great everyone!! Can't wait to see all your cars and meet some other Camaro5 members.

We were talking about getting there anytime after 2 - 2:30..........they usually run until whenever.

Anybody in the Fayetteville area, a few of us are meeting at the Food Lion on HWY 87, 6miles north of Spring Lake saturday at 1pm to ride up to the show in Raleigh thats referenced in this thread. Anybody wanting to join, just PM and we'll wait for you. The more the better!!!

i don't have a camaro but i am really in love with these cars and want to have one in the future. if i come by would anybody be willing to give me a quick ride in one? i have never sat in one or even riden one...

Also, there's another cruise-in in Apex at the AutoZone tomorrow afternoon as well. Some of my classic car buddies are talking about hitting OT BBQ and maybe taking a ride over to this depending on the turnout etc.............

Would be nice to see a 5th Gen caravan tomorrow afternoon going down the road.......talk about turning some heads.

Have you ever heard of OT's BBQ in Apex? It use to be right near that AutoZone. It is now called Daniel's Pizza and Pasta. Also what time is that AutoZone cruise-in...it is about 2 minutes from my house if it is the one off 55.

Now that you mention it, I think I have.

Yep, the new one near the little mall that has the Li'l Ceaser's, etc. I think it will probably start around 2-3 as well.

Okay thats the AutoZone a little farther away. But yeah OT's BBQ was my family's restaurant. OT was my grandfather. We still do catering occasionally and cook BBQ during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Are you going to Olde Time or AutoZone first? Maybe I will meet you at one of those and bring a pound for you and FI4TOMCAT if he wants one.

Around 2 or 3. I'm in Cary too as well. I think I'm going to go to the AutoZone first around 2 and see if anyone is there. Then head out to Garner. NC10RS, remember it is not the AutoZone near Beaver Creek Commons. It is farther down 55 past downtown Apex. Near the intersection of 55 and Highway 1.

Dang, I'm out of town this weekend or I'd join you. My 5th Gen's in Cary but I'm not LOL. I'll definitely go next weekend to Grill 57. Would be awesome to get a few together to cruise. Would certainly be a sight to see!!
