It's 12v. If you turn the dimmer switch down, the lowest reading I got was 1.9v. If you want to use the pre-wired power, I'm pretty sure you will need to use the 12v EL's.

I was thinking of actually toying with 3V EL's and a resistor in series as a voltage drop, current on EL's isnt high so heat wouldn't (or shouldnt) be an issue.

What did they use in the doors? Would it be the same as the footwell lighting kit?

Don't have my camaro yet to play around with this.

I know you're current;y just working on adding the ABL to the dash since the 2SS model comes with ABL on the doors already. For us 1SS folks, what would we need to get ABL on the doors as well using the same materials you are using for the dash? Where does the current ABL on the doors wiring go through?

Hey guys just wanted to let you know that I havn't had a chance to get to it the last few days the weather has been crappy we just had a massive hailstorm come through last week that demolished my truck. I will have a full write up for everyone this weekend though if it is the last thing I do.

Will it be possible to get an orange light to do this, as the ABL in the door panels of the inferno orange interior is an orange, correct? I wish i knew the answer but my car isn't here yet....

If you are using EL wire, you can get 8 different colors.

I think the colors are:

blue
purple
pink
orange
red
green
white
rainbow
