My 2012 has just under 3K miles Dont care drive it when I want mainly around town. When the person giving you a hard time is paying your loan then they can dicate how/when you drive it until then enjoy it the way you want to.

Congrats on the car. Your not insane I never drive mine in the rain or snow not even on a wet road. My Camaro is 4 years old and still looks and smells show room new. The underside is as clean at the top and it has 15K miles on it. A lot of folks comment how nice the car looks and can't believe its 4 years old, enjoy your ride.

In my opinion if you keep from the rain to keep it from getting dirty and all that and want a spotless car more power to ya.

But if you do it because it's a camaro and shouldn't be driven in the rain as it's a sports car and it'll be a collectors item Chances are if/when u sell it it will eventually end up In the hands of someone who doesn't care and drives it all year or at least in the rain.

As my car is black if I didn't have to daily it I wouldn't but it's my only ride so I do. I would avoid the rain simply to keep it clean and not have to waste so much time and money on towels and wax but hey it's a labor of love I guess.

I will drive in rain if I have to, but usually avoid it simply because it's always spotless.

I live in an apartment, without assigned spots. And no coverage. The only thing I can do is get a cover to avoid rain. Luckily, everyone is pretty respectful of others cars and no one parks around me really. I have Yokohama all season tires, so I'll drive in the rain. Snow, I drive my F250 4wd.

I don't drive in the winter and try to drive on nice days but I don't stress if I'm caught in the rain. I just like it to stay clean too. I look at it as a reward for a nice day.

I took the Goodyears off of my 1LE and put on all seasons to enjoy driving it more. It's a car and it was made to handle weather (only the stock tires weren't). Even Al Oppenheiser has been beating a new Z/28 all winter.

If you want to keep it out of the rain, go for it! Not my cup o' tea however.

I don't take mine out in bad weather, that being said, living in Las Vegas is not really much of a problem. I also have a 2012 with only 7500 miles.

Ok... your not insane.. you most likely are a perfectionist. I'm the same way, 1590 miles 2013 2ss rs, and mine has never seen rain yet, purchased in Nov 2012. I actually purchased the car for the wife---- but ya know I drive it as well.. I am probably one of the lowest oldest mile Camaros on this forum, and I need to change my way's starting this summer!!!

I try to avoid the rain to keep it clean. It also gives me a reason to drive my truck once in a while to keep the battery charged.

Welcome to Camaro5! Your not insane! Mine is just a weekend "Date car/showcar. I avoid rain when I can. If there's rain in the forecast, the car stays in the garage. I treat it just like I treated my past weekend rides.
In the end, it's your car, do what you want. Enjoy the ride!

You don't even come close to being nuts, to be certified nuts you need a 45 year old car that has only 812 original on it.

For sure. Hard rainfall and these tires simply do not mix. Hell, it doesn't even need to be a hard rainfall.

Mine is stored over the winter and hasn't seen rain yet. Only because I like to keep it clean. I have other cars to drive when weather isn't great. We'll see how it goes this season.

You'd be insane if you didn't keep a nice coat of wax and sealant on it... along with some 303 or the like on the plastic parts.
