Wow. Nice freakin' numbers! Drive line loss is almost nil on the stock run from motor to wheel.

No kidding. That stock v6 is putting out 18% more HP (+53rwhp) to the rear wheels than mine did. And what is even worse, is that the Mustang Dyno is known to show lower numbers than a DynoJet, which is what I ran on.

Want to trade?

dont want to sound like the party breaker here but these numbers are not happening. ill pay the exhaust of the individual that gets me 3 before and 3 after runs consistent...even magnaflow said that the gains on the v6 are negligible and that with the full catback they got 5whp at some spots.

This dyno is on steriods. Shhh! Don't tell Barry Bonds!

At first glance i was like

then was like...wait a minute.. 289 RWHP stock.. something cant be right

BUT if the gain is like that regardless, then

Or if not then

Course there is always the great resonators for awesome sound and perks

Like the sound, how 'bout more comments on the dyno? That seems outta whack.

Don't get me wrong, I wanna believe these numbers.

I don't think they are falsifying numbers. All dynos read differently and conditions have a huge impact ,but that does not matter. All you can hope to get on a dyno is the gain from a stock run. So if these were run very close to the same conditions on the same dyno then it looks like a solid gain.

Well... this info was posted on a different camaro forum... when I brought up the fact that 289 RWHP was basically impossible, even for a manual, i was slapped for trying to bad mouth a "paying vendor".... I tried to make my post as polite as possible and included a couple of peoples STOCK dynos showing that autos were only in the 248rwhp range... like a grade school mathematician I showed all my work and showed that their baseline 289 RWHP was only a 5% drive line loss.. which is basically unheard of / impossible...

I was not disputing the 12 RWHP gain... simply pointing out that 289 RWHP stock was just not right... I never accused anyone of purposely falsifying anything... just pointing out that the base line number would appear to be wrong...

That being said... MY personal exhaust testing including dyno testing (at my own expense) did show some gains, mainly in the mid-rpm range, so my opinion of the exhaust system is like that of Magnaflow... you do an exhaust change for looks, sound and weight reduction... and perhaps some performance...

I'm thinking that:

A) the exhaust is actually pretty good stock (except for the sound!) so there really is not a lot to gain

or

B) The cats or heads are going to be where the main restriction is.... I'm not touching the cats... learned my lesson on that! Stock head don't always seem to be the best flowing... so perhaps there is some room for improvement there...

IMHO... YMMV...

I hear what you are saying... but 289RWHP would be only a 5% loss... either the calibration on their dyno is off or they have one heck of a factory freak V6 that's making 340 HP at the crank instead of 304 HP... my gut tells me the calibration on the dyno was off... which to me make all the number suspicious.... Not saying any one purposely falsified anything... but when numbers for the base line are that far out of the norm i have to question every thing..

Just think it's worth pointing out, those BMP Performance people never did respond. Maybe they couldn't do a group buy, that's fine, but at least say that. I feel ample time has passed for them to post something. It doesn't say much for their customer relations when they keep all these people waiting on bated breath for nothing. They lost my business for one and a few others on here. I don't know if you guys feel the same, but that's my opinion.

Anyway, just glad I'm getting my exhaust finally, regardless of who it's ordered through.

I'm sorry for the delays with this, and we are still planning to do the group buy! We have posted (perhaps not as often as we should have, and I apologize for that) but ran into more kinks in the group buy plan than expected. We are definitely doing this for anyone who is still interested and I'll post up tonight ... FOR SURE! Thanks and I'm sorry for the delay, guys.

Thanks MPRB for putting up the videos and numbers. This is definately the exhaust I'm going to buy. They have some good V8 videos up on their site as well and the V8 sounds awesome as well.
