It varies here in San Diego, CA. The 2SS's are going for $3 ~ $5K over MSRP and of course, they're getting it. Many dealers are selling for MSRP though. The ones that are coming in now, are holding a premium. Some dealers are only giving MSRP on the "ordered" ones, not any that are in or coming in this month. Sucks...

I agree, the dealers in urban areas are creating a lot of hype. But the reality is that many parts of the country have excess inventory. I'm in DC and dealers are asking over $10K above MSRP. I sat at 1100 for months. I called yesterday to a dealer who I found here and they were able to place order and I'm already at 3000. Then I find a dealer 2 hours away that has 2 camaros (2SS and 1SS) who accepts all discounts and rebates.

I'm trying to post this point as much as possible. I would rather drive half a day to get a good deal.

I live in Los Angeles, CA and they are still selling Camaros about 3-5K over sticker. It is pretty hard to get one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression Autotrader searches Vin's. Same as Dealership inventory Databases., therefore, just because a Vin shows up, doesn't mean a car is available/for sale.

San Diego Dealerships

The only one I know of is the demo. It's a Black 1LT at Jimmie Johnson Chevrolet in Kearney Mesa.

Most dealers are selling at msrp also. Is this starting to be the norm? I'm going tommorrow to look at one only 45 miles away sitting on alot just like I ordered. I'm in central pa close to Harrisburg. Is it just that the econmony is not good here more than other places?
Even though the GM inventory may say dealerships have cars, they probably don't. When I first started to look for a dealership with a car on its' lot, I called around and found none of them did even though the inventory database said they did.

I'm just west of Milwaukee and haven't seen one on the road except when the dealers had the kick off event at Miller Park. Even the small town dealers are market adjusting over MSRP ... 2 to as high as 7K over. Hardly any accepting CU & other discounts. Ordered cars from two different dealers one 2/26 and one 5/28, both never moved from 1100. Cancelled both and got some help from a great dealer in MI at MSRP + CU discount. Ordered one in process and have a TPW of 8/10!! Can't wait!
