I realize that some people on here who own an L99 have been disappointed in performance, but I feel inspired to start a thread that shows nothing but love for the L99. I own one and could not be more pleased! It seems that mine does the complete opposite of all of the negative comments that have been made about it in this forum. It's super fast out of the block, 0-60 times are right on par as advertised, and so are the quarter mile times. My opinion is that most L99's perform like mine, but there are a select few that are having some problems which is true for any vehicle for that matter. Just wanted to give some love to the L99 camp!

Do you think this could be a result of how the car was broke in??
I am picking mine up on Tuesday and definately don't want a grandfather car.

I picked up my L99 1ss today. It's got <150 miles on it now, (I went for a ride!) and this thing is a BEAST! NOT slow. VERY quick. It will throw you against the seat in a heartbeat when the fron end comes up and that V8 roars! I can't wait until I get past that magic 1500mile marker! Beautiful, powerful, quick car!

Congratulations on getting your car today! I was like a kid in a candy shop when I received mine and to this day, still have excitement about it.

Ditto. Couldn't be happier with mine! The wheels break lose off the line with the ST and TC disabled... even a little bit with them on. Had my wife time the 0-60 and it's below 5 sec. Of course she asked me when to start the clock and I told her when her head hit the back of the seat

my dyno numbers are in my sig and its not even at 1500 miles yet, oh and other than a tune and a axle back its bone stock!

I will be getting an automatic Camaro. It might not have the L99, though.

That L99 is pretty incredible. The fact that GM has a 6-speed automatic tranny behind it makes it even more remarkable.

there's no doubt about it,when it get's around 1500 miles on it . It "TRANSFORMS",but I've broke mine in hard,no baby'en for the Silver Bullit here,Done the oil change,I'm telling you people it get's better and better LOVE my 99....

I also got lucky.
My L99 has been fast from day one (hard break in).

Now that its tuned its just plain old fun.

Otherwise they should replace this car for you (e.g. lemon laws).

Hang in there Scott... We'll have to meet up sometime because you're only about 50 miles from me. How often do you make a trip to Dothan?

About once every 2-3 months, depends if there is a movie playing we want to see. Zac and I went to Transformers 2 when it came out and that was the last time we went down.

It has been 2 weeks of shear exhilaration since picking up my "Silver Bullet" ! No disappointment with the performance here. Not since my days of flying my Hydrostream boat around the lake at 80 plus has anything come close! I love this car...

I just love my L99. No problem with power. Everytime I get close to it I get goose bumps. It's such a fantastic looking car. IOM w/black rally stripes.
