It WAS leaking but they did not find anything!!!!
Only my camaro parks on that side of the garage.
I've got better things to do than drop my car off at the dealership!!

If it keeps leaking you'll be dropping it off sooner than you think. So I suppose the dealership just wiped the area clean and sent you on your way?

No he did legally all he needed to do. He brought in the car and even better, he got a all clear from the dealer. In other words if his transmission self-destructs 10, 100, or a 1000 miles down the road he is in the clear himself since he did what he needed to do, bring in the car to be looked at.

I had same issue with my 2014 and acceleration issue and a door rattle. Rattle and acceleration issue still there, dealer tech couldn't hear or see anything wrong. I brought mine in like twice (third time was for an oil overfill, thank you very much Chevy of Glennview). Anyway, if my door rattle turns into a door falling off and the engine noise turns out to be the engine imploding 1000 miles down the road I'm all in the clear as well. Also, I get a new door and new engine. As he will get a new tranny in a worst case scenario.

Dealers ain't there to be your buddies. They are there to make Money, with capital M and all that. I wouldn't leave my car at the dealer for a minute unless completely necessary. Last time I did, a simple oil top-off turned into a hour long affair and they ended up putting a quart and a half over capacity of the engine (7 quarts and change instead of 6 *see above*)

I'd still rather have a transmission leak REPAIRED rather than wait and be without my Camaro while a new transmission is put in... not worth the hassle!
If you know how, take a look at it yourself and show them pictures... make them pay for wasting your gas and time too!

You should show us a picture of the fluid on the floor... I'm just wondering how serious it is.

It was about a two to three inch diameter puddle. Nothing big but a new trans isn't supposed to be leaking. I'll be keeping an eye on it. I'm taking it back to Wisconsin next weekend.

if it was trans fluid, I can't imagine the dealer couldn't find the leak?

I had a minor leak on my Malibu fixed under warranty. It pays to do your own oil changes and inspect the car now and then.

Guess what guys!! Got home from my 235 mile trip, put the car in the garage (with a clean floor), and I looked underneath last night.

The puddle is back! Time to give the dealer a call again.

Here is what it looks like!

That's a big leak! You should put the car up on ramps or jack stands and look for yourself. The source of the leak should be apparent.

I agree but I've been too busy. I also didn't spend new car money on something I have to wrench on.

I had a bit of fluid leaking on my Camaro. It was just the seal, and was fixed under warranty with no problems. It took a day at the dealership cause I guess they had to drop the trans. Then again, I also had 45k miles, or something like that.

Well we brought them in a sample of the fluid off of the floor, along with the picture of the puddle on the floor and they still can't find the leak. They gave me the service managers card in case or shall I say when it leaks again.

So I need to schedule another road trip to see if it leaks again.

Stay tuned

I'd be looking for me another dealership. That's a ridiculous amount of fluid leak on your floor , and for them to not be able to find the leak is even more ridiculous.

do not go on another road trip just take it to the dealer... the subframe is soaked it should be VERY obvious where it is leaking. argue to go in the shop while they rack it up to show them because them not finding it the first time is some straight bull s***

IN FACT
don't even accept the car! i wouldn't take it back with such a huge leak... i have the advantage of having my own rack and do my own work to be able to tell them what's leaking exactly but they are clearly not a good dealer. take it elsewhere!
