2009 Camaro could be in Gran Turismo 5!

Gran Turismo always had a reputation of putting brand new cars in the game. Take the '05 Mustang for example. It hit the streets the same exact time as Gran Turismo 4 was released and the '05 mustang was still in the game. The 2009 camaro is hitting the streets just when Gran Turismo 5 is released!! There is a pretty good chance the Camaro will be in the game. That way we can all test drive it before we buy it!

Don't hesitate to get your PS3. I've already gotten mine.

Why does everyone have a 360? My only guess is that it came out first. The PS3 is better in every way.

But it doesnt have as many titles. Also block buster titles like Gears of War, Halo 3.

You guys do know that PGR4 for the Xbox 360 has the concept Camaro in it, available through downloading a $5 car pack. That's what's in my sig.

On the other hand, Gran Turismo is known for it's extreme realism, compared to PGR which is completely unrealistic (though still a lot of fun!).

Storm79, those were the cars for Gran Turismo 5 "prolouge" That is basically a demo version of the full Gran Turismo 5, which is rumored to have over 900 cars.

i played the older Gran Turismos its been a long time, but im glad to see that you can have more than six cars on the track at a time, that always bugged me about that game...

I'll admit it doesn't have nearly as many titles... Yet. But GT5, Metal Gear Solid and God of War 3 are some of the big PS3 exclusives.

the reason that I dont have a PS3 is because there is bound to be a problem with it... just like the original PS2s, you have to give Sony a little while to work out the bugs... and, from what I've read, there are alot of early PS3s failing due to an error in the Blu-Ray player portion of the console... so once they've addressed and fixed that (or at least set up a repair/warranty protocol for it), I'll be getting one

I just got my 360 back after a RRoD failure, which kept the console out of my hands for less than a week... turns out that the repair facility they had me ship it to was in Mesquite, about 3 hours from the house... so it was next day delivery when they shipped it back to me

Not to say the 360 is a bad system. But the PS3 has had no recall problems anywhere near to the RRod.

A very small number of PS3's had some overheating issues but most of that was due to people using them in an enclosed cabinet with bad air flow. That's about the most talk about problem on the PS3 forums. It does run hot. But I've had absolutely no problems with my PS3.

Again, not to pick sides. But I wonder how BluRay winning the format war will affect the 360, if at all.

From the carlists I've seen for GT5: Prolouge the Camaro isn't listed, but gauranteed it'll be in the finished GT5 game. On the plus side, the Prolouge list I saw did have a C6 Z06 which will suffice!!! Can't wait for it!!
I haven't had any problems with my PS3 since I bought it last January, just have to let it breathe because they do run quite warm. I think they are an excellent deal though, especially now since Blu-ray won the war, they are one of the cheaper if not cheapest blu players out there, plus you can play games like GT5, MGS, & GoW.

i would consider it if gt5 made it where your car actually took damage when u crashed and all that good stuff. previous crashes were beyond disappointing

fyi when gt 5 has 900+cars be prepared to see like 20 different types of skylines and liek 35 different evos., and so on.

i on the other hand have 360 and will wait to see if the camaro makes it for forza 3. imo forza>gt, last time i check when i drive my 599 off a lil road hill and become airbound my suspension breaks when landing, instead of landing so smoothly lol.

dont turn this into a forza vs gt thing cause both games are good in their one ways.

I like the GT# series and cant wait to play GT5 on my ps3 with HD tv only concern with GT is how many different Honda's and other import cars..and they really have limited amounts of old school/new mucle cars and other domestic cars.. and the no damage but i can live with that really just a nice feature to have. over all i like the series though. cant wait, hope fully our cars in there

One of the changes to the new GT5 is that they've added the car damage feature. Now I don't think it will be like Burnout. But said to be realistic. So , no more using the guard rails as guide rails.

360 = VASTLY superior online play, better acheivement content, Halo, cheaper, Borderlands, better titles out now.

PS3 = horrible online experience, super expensive, better graphics, Will have better games coming out in a few years (by the time they'll be unveiling next gen system)...

I've always like GT, but it doesn't seem to be as realistic as say Forza. PGR is an arcade racer, although it has some elements of simulation games, it's just not realistic enough to be true simulation. GT is the same way. FWD cars don't handle the same as RWD cars. Nor does a skyline/supra with an upgraded exhaust sound like a civic with upgraded exhaust...

I'm sticking with my 360 for better or for worse. FF XII ruined the series for me as they got rid of turn based strategy and didn't give you nearly enough hotkeys to make all your choices instant. By the time you selected your healer, had them select a heal spell, your friendly was hit the second time and died. I care not for GTA, and never played the GoW series. Only reason I ever had playstation was for FF. Now that that game is gone, there's not much difference for me between the 360 and PS3 except playing online with friends/my brother. Save yourself some money, go buy a 360 at Costco for 6 months, rent games and pllay them until you return the 360. The PS# will be cheaper by then or they'll have better games and you might like PS3 more then. Until they release something that is FAR superior to the enjoyment from a 360, I won't even consider spending money on it.

I've had a launch Ps3 and use it every day for hours leaving it on all night folding proteins and it has never once hiccuped. As far as the 360 is concerned, it has gone thru many re-designs and the red rings of death overheating problem still occurs on a large percentage of systems. A close friend has gone thru 5 360's since launch.. In either case, I use the PS3 for watching Blu-Ray, checking e-mail on the TV and watching all the TV shows I miss that I download off the internet. The PS3 has been the best investment I ever made for entertainment and is an amazing in all it can do. Definately worth every penny. As for graphics, both the 360 and PS3 are capable of excellent graphics with the PS3 having an edge in physics acceleration because of the cell processor. Gran Turismo is a boring game compared to Need for Speed for example, however it is a different type of game entirely. The graphics of the new GT can't be beat at the moment and I doubt Forza will look as good. And that has nothing to do with the 360's capabilities but the company that makes the game... I do hope the Camaro is in the new GT, and if it isn't, you'll be able to download it later on as an add-on for a small price..
