Car Cover -- NO Garage sigh

I'm making many plans as my build date (Sept 7 looms closer) -- one issue i have is I live in a condo and I do not have a garage.

I live in the Northeast so winter and crap weather is a coming

To that extent, does any1 recommend getting a car cover?

how do they hold up against rain, snow, etc?

What do most people do with them after it has rained all night and you need to go to work?

Where can I get one that is reasonably priced, getting one from the dealer is absurd at like 300+ bucks....

You have to pay alot of money to get one that works well outside and doesn't screw up the car.

I wanted to get one but hubby said no that it will rub the paint if the wind blows it. I'm not sure if this is true or not. We live in a town home and a garage became available to rent at our complex this month, so we lucked out.

If you buy a good one they don't. They have a liner that is very soft. I've used them before and I live in the northeast. Just don't cheap out here.

If it's going to be your daily driver I wouldn't use a cover.

All good questions. I can't answer them all but will say I did get the GM version simply to have one that said Camaro on it.
I do know they can become a pain when it comes to icey snow, sleet, etc. because they actually can sometimes freeze and conform to the car rendering it impossible to remove without risk of scratching things up. I only use one for cars I am storing for more than several days at a time. More to keep the cats off.

I would save your money if you plan to use it as a daily driver.

Noah Car Cover from California Car Cover

Fits perfect and has a soft inside liner.

The gm one is not made for outdoors. It's made to keep dust off in a garage.

Interesting, it is my daily driver (for now) I was more so planning to use it come winter time when i hear reports of big storms coming to the area. I have fear of a repeat from last year when it ICE RAINS or worse HAIL!

I do have access to another car in winter snow conditions, so i am trying to plan for those days.

The thing is ,you just want to make sure you don't put a cover on a dirty car.

I like the Ultra Weave better for always being outside. I'm also looking at getting a car canopy like this: http://www.acecanopy.com/car-enclosed-canopy-10x10.html

I'm so sad she has to be parked outside :(
