i think that the first trans am concept i saw on this site is a totally better idea than this... to me it looks like a camaro that has been given a new grill and a few new body kits... i would suggest that they go with a totally different look than the camaro.. or at least change the interior and the grill..... it's all too much like the camaro...

i dont wanna be a jerk. i mean hey if you have a camaro and want to experiment ok. no one can stop you and alot of the things people are doing to camaros are awesome and i am considering doing a few things when i get my own but people lets be serious.
1.) it isnt a real trans am
2.) why are you taking valuable camaros and doing these idiotic things to them when there are devoted fans waiting to have an authentic muscle car (not some cheap rip off)
just becuase you make it look like a trans am (or what you think a trans am would look like in this generation) doesnt mean it will be a trans am. at the end of the day it is and always will be a 2010 camaro.
idk. maybe im the only one that thinks its better to leave the camaro original instead of doing some crazy project on it.

Dude, come one...

These concepts are from companies who are willing to customize your 2010 Camaro into one of these "Trans Ams."

I've always thought that the Kevin Morgan Designs were better than the others.

I would love to see this package actually surface and make it to market soon.

I will definitely sport a Trans Am over a Camaro any day. The Trans Am name just holds more value to me.

(Camaro still kicks ass)

And for people who will say...it will just be a camaro with different badging and front fascia....err duh...Thats what the trans am has ALWAYS been. (Well...kind of...back then you still had engine exclusivity to different brands ie SD-455)

I had a 79 bandit type trans am. Very cool car imo it was my last muscle car before i had kids. My brother's wife owns and drive's it now she cant go any place without being bugged about it.From seeing the concept version i liked this idea but the grill on the video wasnt very good imo. Im holding judgement till i see the real deal. They will also will have to keep the cost down which is gonna be hard as you need quite a few things to convert your car. Interesting to say the least.

In a few years, assuming things go well, there will be (hopefully) an awful lot of Camaros out there - and why not have something like this? It does nothing for me but it's not a huge leap from what a real Pontiac could turn out to be - we all know it'd be the same car underneath!

That looks absolutely terrible. Not only would that kill the transam for me, it almost kills the design of the camaro if I have to see that damn thing driving around. I understand its a concept..but Come on at least put some effort into changing the grill more than just tweaking it slightly. There was more variation in the 2008 to 2009 mustang...that is the exact same grill, head lamps, fog lamps..just with a stupid a-- "beak". And yes, i complete get that it is a camaro base for some to show a rendition of the "transam" but it is almost as stupid as the Japanese driving around in a toyota prius with bumble bee paint scheme.

A project is one thing, and do what you will. I'm all for customization. This looks like arts and crafts time...

Did you use photoshop to illustrate how the car might look midway? I see some bondo and tape PSd in, and even a roll of tape in one shot

I think it looks alright. I never liked firebirds as much as camaros, but it's pretty nice, looks VERY retro. I liked the T-Top photoshops I saw on jalopnik, can't go wrong with T-Tops. It's not for me, I'd never spend that kind of money on a body kit, but it is very unique and I applaud them for trying to keep the Trans Am nameplate alive.

I agree, the ASC version is tight. An old school touch on something new should still be primarily new.

Oh I agree totaly, I could NEVER hurt my camaro like that, but it gives the Trans Am fans a pretty cool project.. some of these cars look really nice.
Camaro is still much better looking IMO though
