First thoughts LMR CAI

I went down to LMR today and had them install their CAI. I have to say they have a pretty nice shop. Joe was nice enough to show me around and have a look at all the cars they are working on. WOW!

Now, when I left the parking lot I turned off traction control and it was the first time I have been able to spin the tires even a little bit. So with that I was impressed to begin with.

The sound has changed dramatically. The sound up front is what this car should sound like from the beginning. It has changed the exhaust tone some as well. You really hear a big difference when you are on full throttle. The tone has changed and you can really hear the exhaust much better. It has not changed the way anything sounds for normal driving just when on throttle.

I still am not getting the 0-60 times but I am now contributing that to Houston and the heat and humidity. I am still around 1300 miles as well so this thing still has some mileage before it really loosens up.

I wish I would have gone with the carbon fiber now but that won't make any difference but cosmetic.

I have to say with the customer service and the product I give LMR a big

I heard a hennesy ca kit and it sounded like it was just sucking air everytime you gassed it. What does it sound like when you get on it. Can you hear a totally different sound up front and is it annoying?

Isn't that what a COLD AIR INDUCTION suppose to do? Suck in more air than stock air box.

It is a totally different sound up front and it is not annoying. I don't know if it is the sound of sucking air or not but it sounds stout.

The more throttle you put into it the meaner it sounds. If I take off from a light like (say a cop is in the area) you hardly even notice it.

I am glad you are happy with the results. Please let me know if you have any further questions or when you are ready for the exhaust. I know it will be coming up soon! =P
