Who knows how those first 1200 miles were driven. The car isn't technically broke in yet. I'd bet my bottom dollar it has been run hard and put away wet. Personally, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Seems to always happen with hard-core cars that get great media coverage. A certain percentage of folks just want the latest, greatest, and most exclusive -- without realizing what they're getting themselves into. After a few months, they're ready for something else...

THAT particular Z28 was on the lot at Bunnin Chevrolet when i first went looking for Camaros. It was one of the ones my son wanted me to buy -- yeah, thinking he was gonna be borrowing it every weekend - dream on!

Why would it have to be driven hard because it has little miles on it. Bizarre

I guess I should have stated that a different way. To save $6-8k or buy a completely new one, I'd buy the new one unless I could talk to the owner. You do have to assume the worse in these purchases. I wouldn't want to have warranty work done because of someone else's history with the car. Just not my cup of tea.

sorry folks but hearing used already is music to my ears. The more used ones that hit, the more the price drops and the sooner I will get the fender flares and other goodies for my SS

My thought is that the MSRP/Price was too expensive for some folks to really afford, so they bought it for a while, drove it hard and then got rid of it ..... Same with the quite a few of ZL1s I am seeing for < $50,000 .....

Personally, I think it's easy to talk yourself into a Z/28 as your daily driver, which is fine. To each his own. But for those who take this path in order to make the payment numbers work, only to find out . . . they really don't care for a Z/28 as a DD, those cars are going to hit the resale block. Might as well get out of them with low miles than high miles.
