SLP muffler ugrade question?

I went to a muffler shop today, because im tired of my SS sounding weak. The rep told me he would just use the same pipes and go with some after market mufflers. Would this be ok? The pipes look to me maybe 2.5 (guessing)
now when i google search the mufs only the bullet style shows up from SLP. Which ones work for the SS? Im wanting the loudmouth IIs (heard a sound clip WOOOOOWWWWW!), which brings me to another question is Loudmouth 2 the entire exaust kit? or the mufflers themselves.

thanks and sorry for the newb questions.

Definitely go with the SLP Loudmouth II's. They will bolt right on to the stock SS 2.5" exhaust pipes. The LM II's include muffler, tips, and short exhaust pipe that will bolt to stock pipes once stock mufflers are cutoff.

Here is a video clip of another Camaro5 member with his SLP LM II's

You can put them on yourself.

I think it's been shown that there is no HP increase. However, the mufflers weigh like 24lbs each. So you 'll probably shed an easy 30lbs by taking off the OEM mufflers and putting these on.

BTW: Take a look at Borla as well. Just a little more but I like the way the tips are already welded on the mufflers. One less thing to put on. Just a personal choice.

Use the stock exhaust pipes, but cutoff the existing mufflers a few inches behind the differential and then bolt on new SLP LM II's.

Here is the link to SLP's website. The product you want is stock #31212. You will need to enter your zip code to see this product page. Shows you all components, video and sound of the product, and installed pics. Complete install instructions come with the product.

Flowmasters most likely will be quieter. Look, picking exhaust systems is a highly personal thing. What sounds good to one sounds terrible to another.

I really suggest you go to this thread and listen to each of the axle back systems and find what sounds best to YOU. Then order it yourself or have your muffler shop get it for you. All these axle back systems are comparable in price - will only be a few hundred bucks different max.

My simple point - get what sounds and looks good to YOU. Don't worry about what others say.

I want to buy the SLP LMII mufflers only, part number 310301306 and have a shop fab the rest. The mufflers are 18-3/4" long, is that too long to fit? It looks like the LMII mufflers that come with the Camaro axle/cat back kit are modified shorter, can anyone confirm the actual length?

I don't think your going to gain anything but good sound. No real HP and no real MPG. If anything it might cause you to have a heavier foot thus reducing the MPG but increasing the FUN!

I've got the LM II's and they are just right for me, not too loud, but a good muscle tone with no interior drone.

I saw someone picked up 12rwhp with an axleback, another claimed 17rwhp with muffler delete. I'm sure there is some horsepower gain, but sometimes numbers get skewed but 8-12rwhp seems reasonable. Let us know how you like the LMII once you install them. I will likely get these too!

ok so their intsalled took me maybe 25 mins to install. the sound is.... AWESOME! needs to be meaner at the idle though. The car feels lighter, and takes off better than before proabally because of those two gas tanks that were use for mufflers lol! im pleased! next step headers, and vararam CAI. Oh yeah about the drone issue, There is none!!!! but a lil when AFM kicks in and u can hardly tell then. Do muffs have an break in period?

Seems that a lot of people are satisfied with the SLP LMII... Only heard one person complain about it...

I think I'm gonna order mine next week
